As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia upon hearing the news about Yooka-Replaylee. The original Yooka-Laylee was a delightful throwback to the platforming adventures of my youth, and I’m thrilled to see it getting a modern makeover.
As an eager fan, I’m thrilled to share that Playtonic has unveiled more than just a fresh trailer for Yooka-Laylee Replaced – the highly anticipated remake of the original Yooka-Laylee game! But that’s not all; they’ve also revealed the platforms on which this nostalgia-inducing adventure will be available. Can’t wait to dive back into this vibrant world!
Initially, the game will be available on several platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The developer hinted at a release date but chose not to disclose it yet, saying: “Prepare to embark on Yooka and Laylee’s initial journey on your preferred platform when the game drops. However, I’m afraid it’s still too early for specifics regarding the launch date.

Playtonic has been continually working on Yooka-Laylee since its initial announcement, infusing it with even more of their unique charm. Check out the latest trailer below to catch a glimpse of the updates made to this dynamic duo’s exciting journey. In this sneak peek, you’ll see Tribalstack Tropics and Glitterglaze Glacier for the first time, along with improvements in platforming and gameplay, revised challenges, new characters (like Coinelius!), a fresh currency system (Q.U.I.D.S.), and visual enhancements to everything from the characters to the world, as well as the UI/HUD. Keen listeners will also get a hint of what the orchestral soundtrack will soon offer!
