I’m really excited about the Midnight expansion for World of Warcraft, but it’s awesome that Blizzard is *also* still supporting the current content! The big thing right now is the Legion Remix, which just dropped either yesterday or today depending on where you play. Everyone loved the Mists of Pandaria Remix, and a lot of players still think it was one of the best WoW experiences ever. Legion Remix isn’t perfect – some of the content is a bit slow to unlock – but right away, it’s giving us something we’ve wanted for ages: the chance to earn those Mage Tower skins! It’s honestly a dream come true, or what some of us feared would never happen.
The Mage Tower challenge was notoriously difficult, and even though it’s no longer available, the unique rewards it offered – especially the cosmetic appearances – are highly sought after by players. Those who earned these rewards worry that making them easier to obtain would diminish their value. However, many other World of Warcraft players would love another chance to unlock these skins. Recently, through a feature called Legion Remix (likely unintentionally), four Druid skins became available for free simply by logging in, offering a solution to this long-standing desire.
- Might of the Grizzlemaw (White)
- Might of the Grizzlemaw (Tan)
- Might of the Grizzlemaw (Black)
- Might of the Grizzlemaw (Brown)
These cosmetic appearances are only for the Bear Form of the Druid class in *World of Warcraft*. Currently, Feral Druids can’t use the Mage Tower skins, which suggests this is an error Blizzard will likely address in a future update.
Even if you don’t play as a Druid, it’s worth getting these skins while you can. Plus, the new Haranir Allied Race can play as Druids and has unique forms, so collecting extra Bear Forms is always a good idea.
Why World of Warcraft’s Legion Remix Divided The Community With Mage Tower Rewards

With the recent 11.2.7 patch bringing back the Brawler’s Guild after a five-year absence, it’s clear Blizzard can revisit older content. However, the decision to exclude Mage Tower rewards from the Legion Remix update was divisive. Players who hadn’t earned those rewards were disappointed, while those who had were generally pleased. It seemed like a final decision, but players creating a Druid in the Legion Remix have now discovered they automatically receive the Might of the Grizzlemaw skins, suggesting things might not be as permanent as they appeared.
How to Get World of Warcraft’s Mage Tower Druid Form in Legion Remix

To get the original Bear Form appearance for your Druid in World of Warcraft’s Legion Remix event, all you need to do is create a new Druid character—a Timerunner. After finishing the starting quests (or skipping them if you’ve already done them on another character), visit the Barber Shop. You’ll find the Grizzlemaw Bear Form options available, even if you didn’t complete the Mage Tower challenge.
This reward becomes available in the main World of Warcraft game right away, meaning players who aren’t interested in the Legion Remix event can simply skip it without missing out.
World of Warcraft’s Legion Remix is Officially a Knockout For Two Out of Four Druid Forms
Plus, in *World of Warcraft*, Legion Remix offers even more benefits. If you create a Guardian or Feral Druid and obtain their respective artifact weapons early on, it will unlock those classes for other characters if you haven’t already. This means:
- Feral Druid
- Fangs of Ashamane (Brown)
- Fangs of Ashamane (Black)
- Fangs of Ashamane (Blue)
- Fangs of Ashamane (White)
- Moonspirit (White)
- Guardian Druid
- Claws of Ursoc (Brown)
- Claws of Ursoc (Gold)
- Claws of Ursoc (White)
- Claws of Ursoc (Black)
- Stonepaw (Gray)
- Stonepaw (Blue)
- Stonepaw (Green)
- Stonepaw (Fuchsia)
Why World of Warcraft Players Need to Act Fast With Legion Remix Skins
It’s currently unknown if players will be able to keep these options permanently after unlocking them. However, if Blizzard fixes the bug, they’ll probably disappear soon. Since the Mage Tower skins only work on one Druid form and aren’t available for any other class in *World of Warcraft*, it seems like an error. At this point, Blizzard will either correct the mistake or decide to let players continue enjoying the feature.
The developer faces a difficult situation with no easy solution. Removing the skins obtained through the glitch will likely upset players, but letting people keep them could be seen as unfair to those who didn’t exploit the bug. Ignoring the issue and allowing everyone to get the Mage Tower skins for free in *World of Warcraft* also carries risks, as these skins are limited to specific classes and forms, and original owners may feel their achievement is devalued. This dissatisfaction is already visible online.

It looks like the issue with the Mage Tower skins is affecting players in different ways – some received them even without completing the Legion Remix event, while others needed to create a Druid Timerunner to get them. While we wait to see how Blizzard addresses this, it’s a good idea to log in and create a Druid in Legion Remix just in case they allow players to keep the skins.
