For the initial weekend of the Open Beta, we’ll concentrate on the maps: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive. The following weekend will introduce Empire State. The first weekend’s game modes include Conquest, Breakthrough, Close Quarters Breakthrough, Domination, and King of the Hill. Rush and Squad Deathmatch will be added during the second weekend. As for Battlefield 6, according to DICE Producer Alexia Christofi, it will have a much larger variety of weapons at launch compared to what’s available in the Open Beta.
In Battlefield 2042, the initial arsenal of 22 weapons has grown significantly, with approximately 40 weapons now available for players. DICE has also shed light on the matchmaking strategy for Battlefield 6, stating that while skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) will be implemented, it will have a smaller impact in large-scale modes like Conquest compared to more intimate modes such as Team Deathmatch.
