As a seasoned Diablo veteran with countless hours spent slaying demons and delving into dungeons, I can confidently say that the latest addition to the series, Diablo 4, has not disappointed. However, one aspect that has left me scratching my head is the seemingly endless need for Angelbreath in crafting potions.
As a dedicated gamer immersed in the captivating world of Diablo 4, I can’t help but admit that while slaying demons and exploring dungeons is an exhilarating experience, gathering an overwhelming amount of crafting materials as I traverse through zones has its own challenges. Sometimes it feels excessive, yet they are essential for progress. For example, Angelbreath in Diablo 4 is a crucial resource that you’ll often find yourself in need of, and I’m here to help you discover some!
Where to Get Angelbreath in Diablo 4
In Diablo 4, there isn’t a designated area for farming lots of Angelbreath plants, but they can be found scattered throughout Sanctuary. As you journey between zones without using fast travel, you’ll often see the bush growing near paths. To gather enough Angelbreath for crafting, here are some locations where you might find it:
- Helltide: The easiest spot to farm Angelbreath is by participating in Helltide and opening Tortured Chests. You’ll require Aberrant Cinders, which you earn by slaying demons and completing objectives within Helltide; then, you can spend anywhere from 75 to a few hundred Cinders to open chests. There’s a chance of each chest spawning Angelbreath, though it’s not guaranteed.
- Nightmare Dungeons: When you slay an enemy or open a chest inside a Nightmare Dungeon, there’s a slight chance of receiving Angelbreath. Again, it’s not guaranteed, but if you’re farming dungeons already, there’s no harm in actively seeking out the resource.
- Side Quests: Many of the game’s side quests reward you with various caches, some of which include Herb Caches, that drop Angelbreath. Even the item caches have a slight chance to drop crafting resources.

Why You Need a Ton of Angelbreath
Angelbreath’s main purpose is to concoct powerful potions that temporarily enhance your stats and accelerate earned Experience Points (XP). These effects persist for about 30 minutes, or until you perish. After which, another potion can be consumed to keep the boost going while continuing to combat the legions of Hell. Currently, these are the elixirs you can brew using Angelbreath:
- Elixir of Advantage II
- Elixir of Cold Resistance II
- Elixir of Destruction II
- Elixir of Fire Resistance II
- Elixir of Fortitude II
- Elixir of Iron Barbs II
- Elixir of Lightning Resistance II
- Elixir of Poison Resistance II
- Elixir of Precision II
- Elixir of Resourcefulness II
- Elixir of Shadow Resistance II
With a plentiful supply of Angelbreath at hand, you’ll find yourself less anxious about various matters. This extra time can be spent on tailoring and utilizing emotes in Diablo 4 to engage and communicate more effectively with fellow gamers.
