Epic Games Store users only have a short time left to get this week’s free games. The Epic Games Store updates its free game offerings every Thursday at 10am Central Time. When new games are added, the previously free titles are removed. While occasionally you’ll find major, well-known games offered for free, most of the time the freebies are smaller, independent titles.
This week, the Epic Games Store is giving away two free games: Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy. If you haven’t heard of them, Eastern Exorcist is a 2D action RPG where you battle demons using a cool combat system. It received generally good reviews when it came out in 2021. Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy, released in 2023, is a point-and-click adventure game that takes inspiration from the classic titles in that style.
If you’re an Epic Games Store user, you have until Thursday, October 2nd at 10:00am CT to get Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy. After that, these games will no longer be available and will be swapped out for new free games. From October 2nd to October 9th, Epic Games Store players can also claim $100 worth of in-game items for the free-to-play game Firestone Online Idle RPG. Plus, you can grab Nightingale, which usually costs $29.99, for free! As with most free games on the Epic Games Store, these offers are only available for a week, so PC gamers should claim them before they disappear.

Firestone Online Idle RPG is an idle role-playing game, just as the name suggests. Nightingale, on the other hand, is a fantasy survival game where you gather materials, create items, and construct buildings-common features of this type of game. Nightingale initially launched in early access in 2024 and is still under development, not yet at its full release version. The fact that you can try it out for free is a big draw and should be thrilling for those who enjoy survival games.
Besides the free games on the Epic Games Store, PC gamers have another opportunity to get a game at no cost. Currently, Snake Eyes Dungeon is available to claim and keep on Steam, but you need to do so before October 3rd at 12:00pm CT. Expect even more free titles to be offered on both Steam and the Epic Games Store in the coming weeks.
