A new game titled “Humankind,” which has been recently included in PS Plus Extra, currently sports a platinum trophy that is as yet unreachable. This turn-based strategy game, developed by Amplitude Studios, hit the market in 2021 and garnered generally favorable reviews, often being likened to the renowned “Civilization” series. In “Humankind,” players are given the opportunity to delve into 60 distinct cultures across six epochs of human civilization, or they can deviate from history and fashion a one-of-a-kind civilization all their own.

2023 saw “Humankind” join Xbox Game Pass, only to be later removed. Interestingly enough, it was also offered for free on the Epic Games Store in February 2025. By May of the same year, this award-nominated “Best Sim/Strategy” game found its way into the PS Plus Extra catalog, providing a chance for gamers across major platforms to experience

It’s advisable for new players taking on Humankind on PS Plus to be aware that certain trophies cannot be achieved. Regrettably, as reported by TrueTropies, six trophies in Humankind have been unobtainable since its launch, including the Platinum. These trophies are either extremely challenging or require a significant amount of time, and it can be disheartening to find out, following all that effort, that the trophies are glitched.   • One True Faith – Bronze – Lead a religion which 8 or more Empires follow

It appears that players are encountering different experiences regarding unlocking achievements in Humankind, with some claiming they’ve unlocked achievements they didn’t truly earn while playing on Xbox. However, others have reported smooth sailing when earning achievements, although it’s uncertain if they’ve attempted the six issues identified as problematic. Some speculate that the game client might be preventing the achievement/trophy unlock due to detected mod use. Yet, this explanation doesn’t seem universal since the issue persists on both PlayStation and Xbox console versions of the game.

Some gamers find that earning achievements or trophies is an integral part of their gaming experience.
