The Elbaf arc in One Piece surpasses all previous expectations, leaving fans confident that what’s been shown is merely a fraction of the whole story. Exciting developments and major battles are on the horizon!
The Elbaf arc in One Piece has taken everyone by surprise, making it clear that what we’ve seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg. There’s much more excitement to come, with significant battles being planned as well.
However, it’s crucial for fans to remember that the Final Saga of One Piece promises peril not only for secondary characters but also for the Straw Hat Pirates. The land of Elbaf, inhabited by Giants, is particularly at risk now that Imu has arrived in the country. This development undoubtedly increases the chaos and could potentially lead to character deaths, making this part of the story even more tumultuous than what’s come before.
Why Imu’s Arrival Spells Trouble For Elbaf
- Imu Is A Demon Who Cannot Be Beaten
- Elbaf Will Be A Ruin Soon Enough
As a passionate One Piece fan, I must admit that Elbaf’s arc took an unexpected turn for me! Initially, it seemed like the Holy Knights, Shamrock, and Gunko were set to be our main antagonists. However, when Shamrock had to depart due to the Holy Land being engulfed in flames, things began to shift. In his place, Imu dispatched Killingham and Sommers, who, along with Gunko, aimed to kidnap the children and force the Giants into submission as a slave army for the World Government. This twist certainly kept us on our toes!
Mu will show thee the dominance of a God! — Imu
In One Piece chapter 1149, it appeared that while they were taking their time, Imu was hatching different plans. This development, with Imu now serving as the main antagonist in Elbaf, seems ominous to me, posing potential peril even for Luffy, despite his Gear 5 prowess.
Fans might underestimate the predicament of Elbaf. The Holy Knights, the Yonko, and even legendary figures like Whitebeard and Roger pale in comparison to Imu. It’s now evident that One Piece’s most formidable antagonist is about to display his power. Fortunately, Imu isn’t physically present in Elbaf, only controlling Gunko’s body, which may restrict him somewhat, but he’s undeniably stronger than everyone else there.
Dorry and Brogy Could Die In Elbaf, Along with Jarul
Loki and Hajrudin Are Built Up As New Leaders
From my perspective as a passionate fan, it seems to me that the Elbaf arc carries a heavy implication of potential character deaths, and among them, Jarul appears to be the one with the highest risk. Unfortunately, we’ve already seen Jorul perish, which sadly suggests that Jarul won’t last much longer. To add to this, Jarul is an astonishingly old giant at 408 years, a fact that makes it highly unlikely he’ll survive for much longer, especially given the emergence of a new generation of Giants.
What light shall be erased from the world now, Imu Sama? — Five Elders
In the current storyline, it’s possible that Oda may eliminate characters such as Dorry and Brogy. This decision might surprise some readers, but the reasoning behind it is that characters like Loki and Hajrudin are gaining prominence and must assume their leadership roles within Elbaf before the impending Final War commences. With Dorry and Brogy present, this transition cannot occur smoothly.
Now that Imu has moved to the Sun Realm, there’s a high likelihood that Dorry and Brogy will face a tragic end. The Straw Hats themselves might also be at risk, particularly Robin and Usopp. Usopp has often been foreshadowed as being in danger, and he could potentially experience a life-threatening situation similar to Luffy’s ordeal during the Wano arc.
Luffy Has To Beat Imu Gunko
To ensure the safety of all, it’s only Luffy who holds the power to act. He possesses divine abilities, much like Imu, and is the one Imu himself dreads. Luffy is set to learn from Gaban in the Underworld, and when the time comes, a unified attack will be launched against Imu and the Holy Knights. However, remember that even though victory seems likely, the cost will be heavy. Imu, miraculously, will return unscathed to Marijoa.
In a week’s time, we’ll be seeing One Piece Chapter 1150! As always, it will be published on Sunday, but keep in mind that in Japan, it goes live at 12AM JST on Monday. Most international readers, though, will get to read it on May 11. The official release date for One Piece Chapter 1150 is June 1, 2025. Good news for fans, you can read it for free on Manga Plus!
