He continued to be held prisoner by the World Government and was designated as a target during the Hunting Competition in God Valley. Given his circumstances, Kuma believed he had no hope of survival; however, fate seemed to have other plans for him.

Previously mentioned, Kuma was chosen as the target in the Hunting Competition, an event arranged by the Celestial Dragons solely for their amusement. The number of lives lost during this tournament held no significance to them. Figarland Garling, a familiar face in the competition, had gained a reputation as the champion preferred by the Celestial Dragons over the years.

On the island as well was Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, which adds coherence to his role in the Egghead storyline. Facing a grim reality, Kuma understood he couldn’t escape, but luckily encountered Ginny and Ivankov on the island who assisted him in leaving the island safely. In search of justice, Kuma allied with the Revolutionary Army; however, tragedy soon struck when Ginny, a beloved companion, was taken by the Celestial Dragons, leaving Kuma to bear the weight of her absence.

Kuma never crossed paths with Ginny ever again, a reality that tormented him throughout the remainder of his life. Yet, he did encounter Bonney, Ginny’s child. From their initial encounter, Kuma vowed to protect and care for Bonney. Regrettably, Kuma was confronted with another hardship. A physician informed him about Bonney’s ailment, disclosing that her life was at risk. The only solution was to discover a remedy. Kuma exerted all his might, but he couldn’t find any clues until Dragon advised him to seek out Vegapunk.

As Kuma drew near to Vegapunk, the scientist seized the moment to offer assistance, however, there was one stipulation involved.

As a fervent fan, I’d rephrase it like this: Vegapunk proposed some tests on Kuma’s physique, which I, being more than cooperative, agreed to. But Saturn, that cunning villain, inserted complex conditions before the procedure could commence. Yet, Kuma didn’t mind as long as Bonney remained secure. He placed all his trust in protecting Bonney, facing countless hardships and never wavering from the right path.
