In a typical Donkey Kong game, there’s always that nail-biting stage where you speed through a treacherous minecart track. And that’s precisely what unfolds in the sixth level of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. For the most part, you’re hurtling along this level inside a minecart, trying to dodge obstacles and keep from derailing. The level is packed with collectibles in Crazy Cart, but they can be tricky to spot because often you need to time your jumps perfectly to grab them.

All Letter Locations in Crazy Cart

As a gamer, I stumbled upon a mini-game not long ago, and right after that, I found myself hopping aboard a minecart. During my ride, I kept my eyes peeled for a string of foes I could leap onto. Not much further down the track, I spotted a ‘K’. To grab it, timing is key – I had to time my jump just right so I’d bounce high enough to snatch it.

After solving the third puzzle piece, move ahead to the second track, and you’ll find the letter ‘O’ just a short distance away. Before descending the slope, make sure to jump to get to the ‘O’.

Immediately following the checkpoint, you’ll encounter a sequence of jumps you must perform while still on the minecart. Just prior to the end of the track, look for the letter ‘N’. To collect it successfully, make sure to time your jump perfectly to avoid falling off.

Shortly after grabbing the letter ‘N’, the path will guide you from the cave and into the open, where you’ll encounter a string of adversaries to avoid. After leaping over multiple thin ledges, be alert for the section of the track that descends steeply towards a pit. The letter ‘G’ is situated precisely at this drop-off point.

All Puzzle Piece Locations in Crazy Cart

In the beginning of the level, you’ll come across the first puzzle piece that is concealed. Similar to King of Cling, it might be located slightly to your left as soon as you begin your journey.

Once you’ve secured the initial item, proceed through the stage until you encounter a big circular platform that you can strike. Doing so will clear a path deeper into the level and unlock a secret mini-game located at the top left. Collect all the bananas, balloon, and coins within the given timeframe to reveal the second puzzle piece.

After discovering ‘K’, the next puzzle piece is quickly located. Above you, you’ll notice a catwalk, be careful not to leap too high or you’ll land on it. To collect the third puzzle piece, stay on the lower track all the way through, but jump up when necessary to avoid falling off the edge onto the catwalk instead.

Straight after the letter ‘O’, you’ll encounter another leap. There, suspended in mid-air, is the fourth puzzle piece waiting for you. However, you need to act swiftly; if you don’t, you might miss it while leaping.

Directly following the fourth jigsaw piece, the camera focuses in on Donkey Kong. Scattered around are numerous bananas and a levitating bunch of bananas. Right after that, keep an eye out for the final jigsaw piece floating overhead; prepare yourself to leap to grab it.

Time Attack Tips

On a level where most of the action happens on an uncontrollable minecart, achieving a good, clean run involves reaching the cart as quickly as possible from the start. A single misstep in a jump can set you back significantly, so if your aim is to secure the gold time, it’s often more beneficial to restart the level than to struggle through. The remainder of the level then becomes a challenge of navigating without colliding with obstacles or veering off course.
