Summary
- Mega Premium Masterline Golden Frieza figure costs $1,700
- Limited to 150 units, fans must enter a lottery to buy
- Dragon Ball Super fans anticipate Black Frieza arc
The Dragon Ball Super manga continues to take a break, yet Bandai Namco isn’t deterred from producing more Dragon Ball figurines. A fresh Golden Frieza figure is about to hit the market soon… or roughly that. However, it’s the cost that has many talking.
In the movie “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’,” Frieza was given a transformation known as Golden Frieza. This isn’t a permanent change for him, but rather a temporary power boost. The figure you see is called Mega Premium Masterline Golden Frieza, and due to its limited production, only a select number of collectors will have the opportunity to own it.
The Price of the Golden Frieza Figure Is Shockingly High
As per the provided specifications, this figure stands at approximately 61 centimeters tall, boasting a base that measures 43 by 34 centimeters. It showcases numerous LED effects, controllable with ease, and can be separated from its base for convenience. However, it’s important to note that this comes with a substantial cost of around 242,000 yen (equivalent to approximately 1,700 US dollars, though taxes might be applicable).
This item is exclusive, as only 150 pieces will be available for purchase. To secure one, fans must enter a lottery where winners are chosen at random, implying they’re competing for an opportunity to buy the figurine. With such scarcity, it’s likely that more than 150 applications will be received. The winners will be announced on May 1, 2025, and shipping of the figurines will follow later in the same month.
In the animated series “Dragon Ball Super”, the character known as Golden Frieza makes a comeback. This storyline, known as the “Golden Frieza Arc”, unfolds from Episode 16 to Episode 27.
Dragon Ball Super Fans Can’t Wait For Black Frieza
Although the Golden Frieza figure is a desirable item for those who can afford it and have been fortunate enough to be chosen, many Dragon Ball enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating Frieza’s strongest form yet, namely, Black Frieza.
It’s widely anticipated that the upcoming “Dragon Ball Super” storyline could delve into the character of Black Frieza, a form initially hinted at during the Granolah arc, which appears to outmatch any previous power exhibited by the Dragon Team.
Toyotaro has yet to reveal the upcoming storyline for Dragon Ball Super, but he hinted that we can expect further insights into Black Frieza down the line. While many enthusiasts speculate that a Black Frieza arc could be the climactic one, it’s not guaranteed that events will unfold in this manner.
Unfortunately, at this moment, Dragon Ball Super is still taking a break, and the recent issue of V-JUMP failed to provide updates on when the series might resume. Therefore, we’ll need to exercise some patience before we find out more about where the story goes from here.
