Alucard departs from Annette and Richter in search of allies among the lingering fragments of a French resistance group residing within the city. Maria comes close to being transformed into a vampire, yet chooses not to do so against her mother’s wishes.

Not only does it lay the groundwork for season three, but if no further seasons materialize, viewers won’t feel severely frustrated or find themselves stuck with significant anime plot twists. Although most of the episode lacks exhilarating action, Richter delivers an indelible badass moment when he slays Drolta. The series ends on a positive note, while still leaving room for potential continuation.

In the first season’s premiere, we witness a thrilling fight sequence featuring Alucard, set in a flashback within an Egyptian tomb. His objective? To locate Sekhmet’s body, with the hope of reducing Erzsebet Bathory’s power. This initial action-packed scene is captivating, but the remainder of the episode delves into plot development, reintroducing the main characters and their current circumstances.

In a simpler and more conversational style: Maria feels down because of her mom, Tera. Tera is struggling to accept that she’s turned into a vampire. Richter is disappointed about losing last season but happy that Alucard is around to assist, among other things. The most shocking part of “A Living Legend” is the ending, where Drolta comes back as a new demon thanks to The Abbot’s demonic apparatus.

2. Monstrous Things (Episode Four)

Maria’s Patricide

In ‘Monstroud Things,’ one of the many highlights includes the climactic battle set within a French museum. Although the fight choreography is exceptional, there is another scene that surpasses even this thrilling moment from season two. In this scene, enraged by The Abbot transforming her mother into a vampire and also creating monsters herself, Maria storms The Abbot’s church with the intention of taking his life.

As Juste attempts to soothe her, Maria pays no heed but instead ignites her father with a dragon she’s summoned. Her eyes hold an unnerving gaze, and the animators skillfully captured the sense of Maria slipping away in that instant. It’s a powerful scene that would be fitting as a desktop wallpaper.

1. Grenadye Alaso (Episode Seven)

The Climactic Battle

In the second season, the story was gradually leading towards the climactic event of “Grenadye Alaso,” which is typical of most “Castlevania” seasons. However, it’s quite unusual that this significant climax occurred in episode seven instead of episode eight. This is because episode seven is predominantly filled with action.

Battles are taking place on every corner of the city, and they’re all vividly portrayed too.
