In Season 4 of Community, the familiar creative spark seemed to dwindle, but it delivered some noteworthy episodes nonetheless. Fans often cite the Halloween episode titled “Paranormal Parentage” as one of the top-tier, exploring Pierce’s vulnerabilities and hinting at a possible father-son bond between him and Jeff. Notably, several Community Halloween episodes are regarded as season highlights. The late-season episode, “Basic Human Anatomy,” stands out as Annie and Shirley form an unlikely alliance to thwart a fellow student from becoming valedictorian over them.
