Summary
- Edgeshot’s deadly fighting style with Foldabody Quirk allows him to take down tough foes easily.
- Mt. Lady’s size advantage makes her a formidable force in battle, showcased by holding off Gigantomachia.
- Hawks’ speed and deadly feather attacks make him a key player in battles, capable of targeting enemies swiftly.
In the realm of My Hero Academia, I find myself captivated by the elite Pro-Heroes who stand as our ultimate defense against formidable villains, ensuring the safety of civilians at all costs. Given the unpredictability of a villain’s hidden Quirk, it’s essential that these heroes can hold their own in combat. The ranking system for Pro-Heroes in this story takes several factors into account, but strength is the primary determinant of where they stand. While reputation and public favor play a role, it’s their raw power that truly places them among the best.
It’s clear that fans who have followed the series are aware that “strength” encompasses more than just physical prowess, agility, and resilience. It also includes Quirks, as these abilities can significantly enhance one’s power. As the main story of My Hero Academia comes to a close and the anime reaches its final stages, it seems like an appropriate moment to rank the Pro-Heroes in terms of strength. This comparison will focus on Pro-Heroes from within the main narrative and not delve into the storyline of Vigilantes.
8. Edgeshot
Edgeshot’s Quick And Deadly Fighting Style Has Taken Down Numerous Tough Foes
- First Appearance: Episode 46
Despite not having as much screen time as some of his fellow heroes, the cunning assassin Edgeshot has undeniably demonstrated why he deserves such a high ranking in the Pro-Hero polls. With his Quirk, Foldabody, he can transform his limbs into massive, deadly spikes, making it possible for him to pierce through any villains who dare cross his path, regardless of their defense enhancements.
It was particularly clear during his battle with Re-Destro, who transformed his body nearly beyond comprehension using his Stress Quirk. Remarkably, Edgeshot immediately impaled him in the same encounter. Even All For One, a formidable adversary, initially steered clear of Edgeshot’s attack throughout the series. Though he may not possess the resilience of other Pro-Heroes, when engaging an opponent individually, Edgeshot remains a significant danger.
7. Mt. Lady
The Mighty Giant Of The Pro-Heroes Uses Her Impressive Size To Her Advantage When Fighting
- First Appearance: Episode 1
Typically, Mount Lady is spotted wandering through markets or filming glitzy commercials. However, once she steps into combat, her considerable size undeniably leaves an impression. Throughout the series, we see glimpses of her hidden power, but none are as striking as when she managed to contain Gigantomachia during the climactic war.
As a bystander, I must admit, it was astonishing to witness the colossal titan, Gigantomachia, manage an escape after such a prolonged struggle. To my knowledge, few in the narrative prior had even scratched its surface, let alone withstood it for this length of time. This speaks volumes about Mt. Lady’s incredible power.
Moreover, her imposing physique presents a formidable challenge to adversaries. It seems only those equipped with immense might can inflict meaningful damage on this giantess.
6. Jeanist
Jeanist’s Mastery Over His Fiber Quirk Has Made Him A Real Force To Be Reckoned With
- First Appearance: Episode 27
In the world of My Hero Academia, it’s often seen that any quirk, regardless of how uncommon or seemingly useless it might appear at first, can be turned into a powerful asset with dedication and training. Characters like Jeanist serve as perfect illustrations of this concept, as he has mastered his Fiber Master Quirk to the point where he can quickly subdue even the strongest villains simply by using his abilities effectively.
Regardless if it’s battles like Gigantomachia or facing numerous formidable Nomus, Jeanist has consistently defeated tough adversaries. Even when he finds himself in a difficult situation, he uses his fibers to reinforce his body and complete his tasks effectively. Despite often being overshadowed by characters such as Endeavor and All Might, Jeanist’s strength should not be underestimated; throughout the series, he has consistently demonstrated his prowess.
5. Mirko
A Fast And Deadly Powerhouse Who Will Never Back Down From A Fight, No Matter The Odds
- First Appearance: Episode 87
Discussing how only a few individuals can claim victory over even one Nomu, let alone multiple in rapid succession, yet Mirko has achieved this feat, making her a source of envy among many. Prior to this, we had glimpses of her abilities, but it was during her battle against the High-Ends that viewers truly appreciated Mirko’s incredible speed and strength, which are attributes of her Rabbit Quirk, at their full potential.
Mirko’s determination and resilience in the face of adversity significantly boost her heroic stature. Despite suffering injuries as severe as losing an arm and a leg, she remained steadfast in her struggle. Consequently, it’s hardly surprising that she is seen as formidable by the villains of society.
4. Hawks
Hawks Can Execute A Target In Mere Seconds With His Deadly Feathers
- First Appearance: Episode 66
In the anime “My Hero Academia”, although Hawks enters the scene around halfway through, he swiftly assumes a pivotal role, functioning as a covert operative who engages in dirty work to maintain the integrity of hero society. This line of work is ideally suited to his quick and lethal abilities. When individuals discuss Hawks’ remarkable speed, they often refer not only to his agility thanks to his wings but also to his ability to end a life in just a few seconds with his feathers.
Showcasing his formidable prowess, Hawks can swiftly eliminate an entire room of foes by scattering his feathers as if unleashing a whirlwind of projectiles when he’s at his peak power. Notably, in a valiant stand, Hawks managed to withstand All For One for a considerable time, though it was only temporary before the formidable villain seized his Quirk later on. However, standing up against such a terrifying adversary is no small feat and requires great courage and strength.
3. Endeavor
With His Hellflame Quirk, Endeavor Can Obliterate Anyone Courageous Enough To Stand Up To Him
- First Appearance: Episode 17
At the tender age of twenty, Endeavor climbed his way up to become the second-best hero in all of Japan, an accomplishment not to be taken lightly. This impressive feat was made possible by the fierce and promising nature of his Hellflame Quirk. In the later stages of the story, as Endeavor matured and gained more expertise, he mastered the full potential of his Hellflame, capable of launching devastating attacks like Prominence Burn. This attack, with its incredible power, managed to inflict substantial damage on both All For One and Shigaraki at a point when they appeared invincible.
If a villain doesn’t possess a power that can nullify or withstand flames, it’s highly unlikely they’ll emerge unscathed from a confrontation with Endeavor. The frequent switching between being the second and first top-ranking hero in Japan for many years, as well as having the highest number of resolved cases among all Pro-Heroes, underscores Endeavor’s remarkable battle prowess and resilience.
2. Star And Stripe
Being Able To Change Properties And Natural Laws Gives Cathleen Bate A Huge Advantage In Combat
- First Appearance: Episode 139
It’s regrettable that America’s leading hero, Star and Stripe, was abruptly removed from the narrative, given her clear display of immense physical power. Yet, it’s not only her ability to stand strong in combat that makes her formidable; rather, it’s her unique Quirk, New Order, that truly sets her apart. With a mere utterance, Star and Stripe can alter the characteristics of anything she comes into contact with. This means she can transform a patch of air into a vacuum or wield a laser beam as if it were a sword, showcasing her extraordinary capabilities.
In my eyes, the world serves as my personal canvas, and that epic duel with Shigaraki demonstrated just how swiftly I can shift the tide of battle in my favor by issuing commands. In fact, during our confrontation, I managed to control my Quirk in such a way that I could hurl a colossal beam onto the ground as an attempt to eliminate Shigaraki – from afar, it seemed like a massive explosion, a testament to the unparalleled might wielded by America’s very own heroine.
1. All Might
The Central Pillar That Kept Hero Society Stable For Many Years
- First Appearance: Episode 1
In simpler terms, All Might is frequently recognized as the hero who made it possible for Japan to experience a period of tranquility. His remarkable physical strength and durability are truly extraordinary. In fact, his punches were so powerful that they sent a Nomu flying into the stratosphere, which is impressive given that this monster had a power called Quirk that deflects attack impact. Later on, even without his own Quirk, All Might managed to shatter All For One into pieces, overcoming all of his opponent’s unique abilities to secure the victory.
In a truthful move, author Horikoshi wisely chose to maintain All Might in his weakened state following the battle, given that he could have single-handedly tackled most of the hero’s difficulties if he were still at full strength. At the peak of his powers, All Might was an overpowering presence who almost reduced Japan’s crime rate to nil. It’s not hard to grasp why so many villains chose to abandon their criminal activities after witnessing him in action, as encountering this character wouldn’t bode well for them.
