Since the early ’90s, the “Power Rangers” brand has held a cherished place in popular culture, with the debut of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” in 1993 marking its beginning. The team of Power Rangers usually features heroes wearing Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, and Pink uniforms, although other colors may appear as the series progresses.
Among the standout features is the Silver Power Ranger, a character who makes occasional appearances across the franchise, sometimes as the “sixth” Ranger or an ally to the primary team. Throughout the series, several memorable Silver Power Rangers exist, and this discussion aims to rank them according to their power level.
10. S.P.D. Nova Ranger
Unamed
- Series: Power Rangers S.P.D.
- Zord: N/A
In the final episode of Power Rangers S.P.D., the Nova Ranger emerged, although not officially designated as a Silver Ranger, her attire undeniably reflects that theme. She is a comrade of the Omega Ranger from a future timeline, who journeys to the past with the intention of helping retrieve a missing team member.
During the ultimate clash with villain Gruumm, she joined forces with the S.P.D. Rangers. Yet, due to making just a single appearance within the series, her position remains somewhat restricted because she lacked the chance to fully showcase her skills and talents.
9. RPM Silver Ranger
Gemma
- Series: Power Rangers RPM
- Zord: Tiger Jet, Whale Zord
Gemma and her brother, affectionately known as Gem, assume the roles of the Silver and Gold Rangers within the context of “Power Rangers RPM”. Initially, they were taken prisoner by Alphabet Soup, a clandestine government organization with questionable ethics, which specializes in abducting bright young minds. Whilst confined there, they each received experimental Silver and Gold bio-suits prior to their daring escape.
Gemma might come across as immature and childish on screen, but in reality, she’s a brilliant mind who plays an essential part in the RPM Rangers’ victory against Venjix. However, since her suit was still a prototype, it lacked some of the capabilities that her fellow rangers had, which made her seem less powerful during this series.
8. Dino Charge Silver Ranger
Zenowing
- Series: Power Rangers Dino Super Charge
- Zord: Titano Zord
In a peculiar twist, Zenowing – resembling a feathered extraterrestrial – boasts the talents of soaring through the skies and projecting energy, putting him at an edge against certain other Silver Rangers. However, he harbors a sinister aspect called Doomwing, which on one occasion seized control of his being. Utilizing Zenowing’s Silver Ranger persona covertly, Doomwing operated as a hidden agent.
After the rest of the Dino Super Charge Rangers discovered Zenowing, they decided to part ways with him individually. Later on, Zenowing officially became a member of the team, taking up the Silver Ranger role. Regrettably, he was only featured in eight episodes of the series, limiting the opportunity to fully display his skills and potential.
7. Grid Battleforce Silver Ranger
Steel Silva
- Series: Power Rangers Beast Morphers
- Zord: Jet Zord
Initially, Steel Silva was engineered as a Beast Bot intended for villain Evox. Yet, events took an unexpected turn, leading him to become allied with the Beast Morphers Rangers instead. Now, he dons a fresh outfit, serving as the Grid Battleforce Silver Ranger.
During combat, Steel exhibits great confidence and makes full use of his Beast Bot prowess, enhanced by his Striker Morpher and Morph-X Key’s new powers. In the final episode of the series, he selflessly gave up his robot form to aid in defeating Evox. Luckily, he was resurrected as a human being through the Morphin Grid and carried on as the Silver Ranger.
6. Titanium Lightspeed Rescue Ranger
Ryan Mitchell
- Series: Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue
- Zord: Max Solarzord
Following a severe car accident that came perilously close to claiming his life during childhood, Ryan’s father struck a bargain with a demon known as Diabolico to save him instead, stipulating that the demon would act as his guardian. As Ryan matured, his intellect was gradually tainted by Diabolico, who manipulated him into stealing the preliminary Titanium Morpher in an attempt to annihilate the Power Rangers.
After learning the real story behind his past, Ryan opted against embracing the demonic entity and instead joined the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers, taking on the role of their sixth member. Endowed with teleportation abilities, he proved to be an indispensable addition to the team. However, his thirst for knowledge about the sinister demons that had been tormenting him and others led him to depart. In the end, he reappeared for the climactic confrontation against Queen Bansheera.
5. Super Megaforce Silver Ranger
Orion
- Series: Power Rangers Super Megaforce
- Zord: Q-Rex Drill
As a passionate movie buff, let me share my take: I’m an extraterrestrial hailing from the vibrant world of Andresia, where I used to mine for resources. During one of those ordinary days, I stumbled upon an extraordinary artifact known as the Silver Ranger key. This discovery was accompanied by fleeting visions of six Rangers from a series long past. At first, I hesitated to use this mysterious object. However, when my peaceful village was ruthlessly invaded by the malevolent Armada, my resolve shifted. Seeking revenge for the innocent lives lost, I chose to wield the key and embarked on a journey that led me off my planet and crash-landed me on Earth, transforming me into the Super Megaforce Silver Ranger.
In our team, Orion was uniquely equipped, drawing upon the strengths of past Sixth Rangers. He merged these abilities into a formidable single mode called Super Megaforce Gold. This unique talent proved invaluable during our fight against the Armada, empowering him to exact the vengeance he desired.
4. Robo Knight
Unamed
- Series: Power Rangers Megaforce, Power Rangers Super Megaforce
- Zord: Lion Zord
Centuries past, Robo Knight was constructed with the purpose of safeguarding Earth, only to be deactivated until the 21st century. It was as if the planet itself summoned him when he awoke, tasking him to battle the Warstar Insectoid army. At first, he appeared distant and unfeeling towards the Megaforce Rangers, but over time, they managed to win his confidence.
Robo Knight possesses an exceptional talent; he can morph into both the Lionzord and the Lion Mechazord. This special ability elevates his position within the Silver-colored Rangers, for in essence, he serves as his own Zord.
3. Mercury Ranger
Tyzonn
- Series: Power Rangers Operation Overdrive
- Zord: Flash Point Megazord
In the television show, the character known as the Mercury Ranger, hailing from Operation Overdrive, was depicted as a strong ally. He leveraged his Mercurian powers to aid his comrades during fights. These abilities encompassed creating shields, releasing electrical strikes, and even converting into liquid mercury at will.
To begin with, he was first portrayed as a villain, working under Moltor as one of his minions. However, he was later saved by the Toru Diamond, which led to his inclusion as the sixth member of the team. Given his exceptional powers, it is evident that he should hold a more prominent position among the other Silver Rangers. His skills have proven crucial in various missions during Operation Overdrive.
2. Wild Force Luna Wolf Ranger
Merrick Baliton
- Series: Power Rangers Wild Force
- Zord: Predazord (Wolf Wildzord, Hammerhead Shark Wildzord, Alligator Wildzord)
3000 years prior to the narrative of Power Rangers Wild Force, Merrick was among the Six Primordial Warriors waging battles against the Orgs and their chief, Master Org. In desperation for aid, he stumbled upon the Wolf Mask, which imbued him with control over the Wolf, Alligator, and Hammerhead Shark Zords. These formidable Zords provided him with the edge necessary to vanquish the forces of evil. Tragically, the mask eventually corrupted him, metamorphosing him into Zen-Aku. The other Primordial Warriors then imprisoned him within a tomb.
Over the course of the storyline, a fresh Master Organization granted Zen-Aku freedom to clash with the Wild Force Rangers. Eventually, though, Zen-Aku was released from his curse and decided to join the team as their sixth member. Equipped with three potent Zords, he emerged as an important character in the series.
1. Silver Space Ranger
Zhane
- Series: Power Rangers In Space
- Zord: Mega Winger
Among all Silver Rangers in the franchise, Zhane stands out as the most recognizable. He first appeared as the sixth ranger in “Power Rangers In Space” and soon became an integral part of the team, featuring in 16 episodes. His telekinetic abilities made a substantial impact during the fight against Dark Specter.
Upon emerging from a long sleep, Zhane showcased his power by overpowering Ecliptor alone, a task that the other five Rangers found challenging even when they teamed up. Despite his preference for working alone, he frequently re-joined the Rangers during the series, repeatedly demonstrating his impressive skills whenever he did so.
