As we draw closer to the one-month milestone since the early access launch of “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad,” its publisher, Netmarble, has unveiled some official previews of their upcoming game. Game Rant is privileged to present these exclusive glimpses. The fresh promotional content includes two video clips, both offering a peek at Altar of Memories, the game’s team-based dungeons where four players engage in intense battles against an array of formidable creatures.
GoT: Kingsroad’s Ironbeak Griffin Can Be Taken Down With Traps
In one of the recent videos, a battle against an Ironbeak Griffin is depicted. This fight highlights several gameplay elements from the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad game, such as traps. By working in unison, players can strategically place and trigger traps to momentarily disable the Ironbeak Griffin, providing an opportunity for combinations and potent yet gradual attacks that inflict heavy damage. Traps are also effective against any other flying foe you may encounter within the Altar of Memories dungeons.
GoT: Kingsroad’s Giant Ice Spiders Are Relentless Enemies
In Netmarble’s second video, we see a battle against a colossal Ice Giant Spider, a formidable foe named for its obvious characteristics. These massive enemies attack unceasingly and can dish out damage to both individual targets and entire areas – often in rapid succession. A tactic for defeating them involves the player’s team coordinating simultaneous attacks on their weak points, which eventually leaves them vulnerable for more severe damage. The Griffins and Ice Giant Spiders are inspired by folklore from the world of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, as seen in the tales told by Old Nan to Bran in ‘A Game of Thrones’.
On the Steam page for the game “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad”, it’s mentioned that the action RPG will remain in early access for at least four weeks. Although this initial testing phase is almost complete, no specific date has been announced for the full release yet. Once released, “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad” intends to become available on Epic Games Store, Android, and iOS devices too. For now, you can buy the early access version through Steam at a cost of $24.99. The Deluxe Edition is priced at $49.99, while the Ultimate Pack goes for $89.99.
