The abundance of content and lack of clear guidance can feel overwhelming at times. You can opt for stealth, rooftop traversal, or engage in firefights depending on the situation at hand. Furthermore, you’ll have access to a variety of tools to aid you. With its vast array of options, new players might find themselves overwhelmed, but don’t worry! We’re compiling a list of tips and tricks for the game to help make your gaming experience smoother.

Don’t Be Afraid of Combat

In Star Wars Outlaws, the stealth aspect is emphasized significantly, but things may not always go smoothly according to plan. You’ll either adapt to unexpected situations or revert to an earlier saved game to maintain a stealthy approach. At times, choosing to adapt can be more beneficial. The combat in this game isn’t intricate or intimidating; instead, it’s straightforward and, truthfully, quite satisfying. It feels empowering to emerge from cover to deliver strategic blaster shots, then quickly hide again. You’ll feel like a true badass navigating the Star Wars universe!

When you’re dispatching foes with your reliable blaster pistol, capable of taking them out with just a few well-placed shots, sometimes they’ll let go of their blaster rifles. These rifles offer more power and continuous firing but have limited ammo supply. You’ll eventually exhaust the rifle’s charge pack, at which point you’ll swap it for your trusty blaster once more.

Engage With NPCs

I often prioritize sticking to the main storyline in open-world games like Star Wars Outlaws, but this approach can be misleading. While the main narrative may not meet expectations, the side stories often shine where the main one falters. However, it’s not that every character you encounter outside the main quest offers a fascinating backstory or engaging side quest. Many do not, but you risk missing out on rewarding questlines and potential benefits by overlooking passersby.

Consider the character in the image you see. He’s not crucial to the main plot; instead, he’s a struggling gambler looking for credits outside the cantina on Toshara. If you’re open to lending him some money – perhaps 100 or 500 credits – he promises to pay you back with interest. Whether he keeps his word is uncertain. It’s essentially a risky proposition!

Gather Information

In the gritty Star Wars Outlaws universe, you’re no longer bound by conventional rules. There may be instances where you need to resort to less than honorable tactics to gain an edge. This could involve clandestine actions like pilfering a datapad containing inside betting tips for an upcoming race, or gathering compromising information on a target that will enable you to bluff your way into or out of tricky situations.

Should you come across a guard who denies you entry, investigate the area around them instead. There’s a good chance you’ll discover hints that could put you at an advantage.

Recon the Area Before Infiltrating

In this game, I’ll be spending a good chunk of my time roaming around the diverse cities and settlements it offers. But don’t let that fool you; I’m gonna ditch the safety of those walls often to venture into the wilderness on my speeder bike. Along the way, I’ll stumble upon various spots like camps, cantinas, and compounds – some are just run-of-the-mill, but others are a whole different story. They’re teeming with life, much of which is out to get me, and there’s always something valuable up for grabs.

Before charging straight into a battle without much planning, make sure to first find a vantage point and survey the surrounding area with your binoculars. This way, you can identify up to ten objects or enemies that will be highlighted for you as you approach your target point (POI). With this visual aid, you’ll know exactly where any patrolling guards are located, making it simpler for you to slip by them unnoticed.

Complete False Flag

As you progress through your tasks on Toshara, you’ll eventually find yourself at Jaunt’s Hope, a small settlement. Here, Waka takes the Trailblazer for repairs and serves as a base location for your planetary expeditions beyond the central city. Eventually, Eleera will offer you the main quest called “False Hope”. She asks you to retrieve data from an Imperial Station orbiting Toshara, and although Waka insists the ship isn’t prepared, it turns out that you are ready for this mission.

Instead of viewing False Hope as a final tutorial, consider it as the key to unlocking more of the game. Upon finishing the primary objective, you’ll find yourself with the freedom to roam, travel between various locations, interact with new characters, and engage in side missions. If your aim is to uncover all that each planet has to offer, continue through the main story until you reach this milestone, then let your exploration journey truly begin!
