Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Echo Zelda Boss Guide

As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed the lands of Hyrule countless times, I must say that the Echo Zelda boss fight in “Echoes of Wisdom” is one for the history books. The game’s creators certainly didn’t make it easy on us, did they?

After obtaining the third Goddess’ Sanction from Lanayru Temple, Eldin Temple, and Faron Temple, it appears that our heroine, Zelda, is on track with her plan to permanently seal the Rifts. However, following the acquisition of the third Sanction, Zelda encounters an extension of the game’s main villain, Null, during an unexpected ambush.

In the game “Echoes of Wisdom,” you’ll encounter a foe that disguises itself as Zelda, known as Echo Zelda. Its mission is to bypass security measures and seize the Prime Energy for malicious purposes. Once you’ve traversed the Eternal Forest and reached the final zone of the Stilled Ancient Ruin, genuine Zelda will confront her doppelganger. Here’s a guide to help you grasp the tactics involved in this “Zelda” boss battle and teach you how to defeat Echo Zelda in “Echoes of Wisdom.

Echo Zelda Boss Walkthrough

Confront Your Impostor In The Stilled World

As a seasoned gamer embarking on the final leg of Echoes of Wisdom, here are three crucial aspects I’ve learned to be mindful of during the climactic Echo Zelda battle:

  • The Echo Zelda boss will regularly summon strong Echoes to its aid, including Darknut lvl 3 and Buzz Blobs which can’t be hit with normal attacks
  • Echo Zelda floats above the arena for almost the entire boss fight
  • The Echo Zelda boss will periodically transform into a Rift Orb and float around the arena before summoning more Echoes, during which time she cannot be damaged.

To successfully defeat Echo Zelda, it is advisable to concentrate on inflicting damage from a distance. Here are some effective strategies for dishing out ranged attacks:

Although you can inflict damage on her using Flying Echoes since she hovers above the battlefield, many Flying Echoes struggle to match her agility. A more successful strategy would be to stock up on Energy Restoration potions and smoothies to defeat her in Swordfighter Form instead.

If your Health Points (HP) are fully charged, employing your Sword will launch an energy blast towards your adversary, inflicting massive close-combat damage from a distance. Should you successfully dodge the Echo Zelda boss’s summon attacks or have sufficient Smoothies on hand to replenish your Hearts, this method is optimal for handling Echo Zelda.

It’s completely acceptable to aim at her using the Powerful Bow, especially at its highest power. Instead of charging your arrows, release them quickly when she pauses for a moment. Approximately 10 Arrows should be enough to defeat her, while around 5 or 6 Sword Strikes will bring her down with full health.

When you inflict sufficient harm, Echo Zelda will descend to the ground, making it possible for standard attacks. Gather your most potent Echo, activate Swordfighter Form, then strike her repeatedly until she becomes enraged.

Every time you inflict sufficient damage to trigger the following stage, she’ll conjure progressively powerful Echoes.

As a gamer, I usually find myself having to handle the summoned Echoes before I can dish out damage to Zelda. It’s not because she becomes invincible while floating around, but rather because it’s incredibly hard to lock onto her when there are four other enemies buzzing nearby. Whenever Zelda summons these minions, it’s essential to clear them off the map first before taking on the boss with my upgraded Swordfighter Form.

After I’ve gone through this process enough times and manage to defeat the boss at last, my beloved heroine will successfully rescue Link from his crystalline prison, thereby completing the “Rescuing The Hero Link” quest. This paves the way for us to confront the final dungeon and its formidable final boss in the epic saga of Echoes of Wisdom.

Echo Zelda Boss Rewards

Following your triumph over the Echo Zelda boss within the game Echoes of Wisdom, you will receive not just one but two significant rewards. Firstly, as is common with most defeated bosses, you’ll be given a complete Heart Container, thereby boosting Zelda’s Heart count by an additional unit. At this stage of the game, even a single extra Heart can prove to be quite beneficial.

In simpler terms, upon defeating Echo Zelda, players of Echoes of Wisdom will find their game has been automatically saved at the last possible save point. This action releases Link from his crystal prison, saving a part of the Prime Energy as well, and provides the opportunity to converse with Link, allowing the journey to continue.

If you decide to restore Link’s weapons for further combat against Null, keep in mind that you won’t have the chance to save and return afterward.

Spend this period to revisit areas for gathering Heart Pieces, enhance your Accessory storage capacity, and stockpile both energy replenishing and heart restoring smoothies.

Once you’ve completed the game, loading the Autosave here will grant you an extremely useful addition: the capability to locate missing Echoes and other hidden items. This encourages players to replay the game to achieve 100% completion – give Hero mode a spin for an extra challenge as you return to content that may now be above your current level.
