Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom How To Remove Zelda’s Hood

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom How To Remove Zelda's Hood

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent exploring Hyrule, I must say that the journey to remove Zelda’s hood in Echoes of Wisdom was one of the most intriguing quests I’ve ever embarked on. The suspense and anticipation were palpable as I navigated through each dungeon, always mindful of the fact that my beloved princess was hiding her identity.

At the start of “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom“, Zelda keeps her hood pulled over her head as a necessity to hide her identity and stay concealed, but in marketing materials for the game and trailers, it appears that the model representing Zelda doesn’t wear her hood up on the standard Disguise costume.

Approximately midway through the game, upon achieving a specific achievement, Zelda decides to unveil her true self by removing her hood, confident that King of Hyrule won’t punish her for the presumed creation of the Rifts. The journey to this point may be lengthy, but in Echoes of Wisdom, revealing Zelda’s hood isn’t the only thing you earn by reaching this milestone.

To take off Zelda’s hood in Echoes of Wisdom, players must first regain the kingdom’s faith in her as their princess. Since she is on the run with a hood covering her identity, this trust needs to be rebuilt. The impostor king currently ruling Hyrule must be overthrown so that Zelda can clear her name and no longer need to conceal herself.

In the realm of Echoes of Wisdom, I found that the secret to revealing Zelda’s hood lies within. More specifically, it requires conquering the Hyrule Castle dungeon, a formidable challenge that is the fourth major dungeon in this game.

At the outset of the game, it’s necessary to conquer the Suthorn Ruins dungeon first. Subsequently, you should proceed to both the Gerudo Desert and Jabul Waters regions for the dungeons located there. Only after completing these can you gain access to Hyrule Castle.

Once she has conquered the Hyrule Castle dungeon, sealed the rift responsible for her exile, Zelda will lift her hood to unveil her true self.

Afterward, in Echoes of Wisdom, the standard Disguise outfit won’t conceal Zelda’s hair anymore, allowing you to adventure freely across Hyrule with Zelda’s hood exposed.

People will now recognize Zelda instantly, too, changing some of the dialogue throughout the game.

Other Zelda Customizations Unlock At The Same Point

Once Zelda returns to her room (following her discovery of the powerful Heart-restoring Zelda’s Bed echo), she will rise from bed and be called upon by the King again. Here, you will activate the Royal Travel Attire, an ancient garment fitting for the legendary priestess that it embodies.

In the game “Echoes of Wisdom”, you’ll find three exclusive Amiibo costumes to unlock once you reach a certain stage. Prior to conquering Hyrule Castle, using an Amiibo will only grant you Smoothie and Monster materials. However, after completing Hyrule Castle, specific Zelda-themed Amiibos can reward these costumes instead.

Most of the costumes remain hidden until you advance through the game and uncover more of Hyrule Castle and its surrounding world. A few costumes can be obtained before completing Hyrule Castle, but the majority is inaccessible until you progress further.
