Zellsis Says 100T and Sentinels Asked Him and Boostio to Take Down Wild Tweets

The intense rivalry between North American VALORANT teams Sentinels and 100 Thieves has often been fiery, but it escalated to unprecedented heights only a week into the 2025 season. However, following some controversial posts on social media this weekend, both organizations requested their vocal players to dial back their heated exchanges.

Still, those photos will be seared into our memory for some time.

Sentinels and 100T “Requested” The Images Be Taken Down

Before the much-hyped VCT Americas match between Sentinels and 100 Thieves, in-game leader of 100T, Kelden “Boostio” Pupello, shared a couple of intriguing photos on X. One picture showed an individual stooped over in front of him, donning Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro’s Sentinels jersey, with the message, “I’m winning against Sentinels today.

Sentinels emerged victorious against 100 Thieves, winning three maps and relegating them to the lower bracket of the VCT Americas Kickoff event. Following the match, Boostio playfully mimicked a bent-over stance for Zellsis who then shared the image on his Twitter feed.

In the end, both images were removed, leading some Reddit users to guess that Riot made the players erase the pictures. A few went as far as stating that Zellsis and Boostio had been fined for their tweets, but the Sentinels’ star has refuted this claim.

In reference to X, Zellsis stated that “the internet tends to disseminate misinformation as per the norm. I wasn’t penalized for that tweet, and I don’t believe Boostio was either. The tweets were undeniably inappropriate, so Riot Games and our organizations kindly asked us to remove them.” Previously, Zellsis had been sanctioned by Riot Games in the year 2023 for making an explicit gesture while live on camera.
