One Piece Fan Counts Every Single Panel And Finds Out Who Oda Draws The Most

  • Monkey D Luffy Is The First
  • Nami Takes Second Place

One Piece has been running for nearly three decades as a series, and currently boasts over 1100 chapters. With no signs of slowing, it’s predicted that the manga will continue for another 6 or more years due to Oda’s consistent pace and the vast amount of story yet to be told. Of course, Oda continues to captivate us with his intricate portrayal of the Straw Hat Pirates’ epic adventure.

Currently, someone who’s a fan of One Piece has come up with an interesting find. They meticulously counted each panel within the series and identified which character Eiichiro Oda draws the most frequently. The individual responsible for this is Twitter user X, with the handle @OnePiece5632.

Due to this person’s hard work, fans are now able to view a list showcasing the 12 characters who have made the most appearances in One Piece. This ranking is accurate up until the Elbaf arc in One Piece, so all chapters from 1 and 1125 of the manga are included, making it comprehensive.

It’s not surprising to many fans that Luffy has the most appearances, with a significant lead. So far, he’s featured in approximately 17,435 panels, which is around 10,000 more than the character in second place.

In a surprising twist, it turns out that Number 2 is none other than Nami. With an impressive 7,963 panels under her belt, she certainly holds her ground, distancing herself significantly from Number 3.

Fans were taken aback when they learned that Sanji ranked third, with a panel count of 7449. Many had anticipated Zoro to come in second place, but he ended up in fourth, not too far behind Sanji who has 7406 panels. Although there’s still Elbaf where Zoro could potentially close the gap, for now, he trails Sanji significantly. The second spot remains quite distant for Zoro, and even if he excels in Elbaf, Nami is likely to receive attention too, making it highly unlikely for him to move up to second place. In fact, it seems Zoro might maintain his fourth position.

Fifth place on this list isn’t significantly lagging behind the rest, and it turns out to be Usopp, boasting a total of 7,101 panels.

Subsequently, the ranking plummets swiftly, with Chopper taking 6th position, Nico Robin following in 7th, Franky at 8th, Brook at 9th, and Trafalgar Law holding onto 10th place. Notably, Trafalgar Law is the lone non-Straw Hat member to secure a spot within the top 10.

Vivi takes the 11th position, followed by Jinbei in 12th place. Interestingly, only Jinbei among all Straw Hat members didn’t make it into the top ten, but considering he joined the crew later, that’s not surprising.

It’s evident that the founding members of the Straw Hat Pirates from the East Blue stand out due to their higher number of panel appearances. This is logical considering their extended time in the series. Additionally, during their time in East Blue, there were fewer characters, allowing these members to receive a greater share of panels compared to others.

Following the arrival of the initial five members from East Blue, the subsequent Straw Hat Pirates, including Brook, joined the group sequentially based on their respective entry into the team.
