Summary
- Zoro needs to train further to reach Yonko level, especially to defeat Mihawk.
- Zoro awakened Conqueror’s Haki in Wano, but still has limitations to overcome.
- Zoro will likely blacken his swords to become stronger, potentially surpassing Mihawk.
In the thrilling realm of One Piece, I proudly stand as Roronoa Zoro – a character with an unyielding ambition to rank among the world’s greatest warriors! From the very beginning, Oda skillfully crafted my character with an insatiable hunger for battles and a relentless drive to break through every barrier.
Through time, Zoro’s strength has significantly increased, transforming from a formidable East Blue bounty hunter into the second-in-command of a Yonko. In the Final Saga, Zoro is expected to progress further, as his ambition of being recognized as the world’s greatest swordsman remains unfulfilled. However, in the Final Saga, it’s likely that Zoro will receive a significant power boost, catapulting him to Yonko rank and making him a formidable opponent even for Dracule Mihawk.
Zoro Needs To Get Stronger In The Final Saga
- Zoro Isn’t On Mihawk’s Level Yet
- He Needs To Train Further
As an onlooker, it’s indisputable that Zoro has significantly amplified his might these days. It’s no secret to fans that Zoro boasts prodigious strength, and following the Wano arc, he’s stronger than I’ve ever seen him before. This newfound power can be attributed primarily to his successful awakening of Conqueror’s Haki during the Wano Country arc. Intriguingly, this powerful ability manifested for the first time in his fight against Kaido, where, unbeknownst to both parties, he imbued his sword with Conqueror’s Haki and left a lasting mark on his chest.
I can’t lose. Until I defeat that man, not even death can take my life away. — Roronoa Zoro
In the course of confronting King, Zoro utilized Conqueror’s Haki once more, mastering the art of incorporating it this time. This advancement propelled him to a higher level as a combatant, enabling him to overcome Kaido’s top lieutenant, King the Wildfire. Throughout the Wano arc of One Piece, viewers could clearly identify Zoro’s weaknesses. His inability to sustain Conqueror’s Haki for extended periods meant that he could only maintain his peak form for a brief duration. Zoro still has areas where he needs improvement in One Piece, and overcoming these limitations is essential if he wishes to defeat Dracule Mihawk and claim the title of the world’s greatest swordsman.
Why Zoro Is Destined For The Top
Zoro Beating Mihawk Is Inevitable In One Piece
Excitedly speaking as a dedicated One Piece fan, I can’t help but believe that Zoro won’t be able to best Mihawk just yet, but the day will come! This inevitably means that Zoro will grow stronger still in our current Elbaf arc. Currently, we find ourselves in the heart of the Elbaf saga, and I can’t wait to see how our Straw Hat Pirates navigate their unique challenges there. As they battle through these trials, it’s a given that they’ll become even stronger. And let me tell you, there’s no doubt in my mind that Zoro’s thirst for power will remain undiminished!

Currently, I see that my mastery over Haki isn’t as strong as it could be. In the Elbaf arc of our journey, there is room for me to refine the effectiveness of my Haki, learn to seamlessly integrate it into my combat style. However, this isn’t my only goal in the Final Saga. To defeat Dracule Mihawk, I must not only enhance my Conqueror’s Haki but also imbue my blades with darkness and strength.
Zoro’s Final Power Up: 3 Black Blades
Zoro Will Finally Be Stronger Than Mihawk
To stand a chance against Mihawk, Zoro should master the art of forging three black blades. While he once possessed Shusui, a single black blade, and later passed it on to Wano, he must now learn to darken his own swords. The secret behind this process is yet unknown, but upon its discovery, Zoro’s weapons will undoubtedly advance in power. It remains unclear by how much they’ll improve, but there’s a possibility that all three could be elevated to the Supreme Grade, boosting their combined count to fifteen superior swords.
Fans might not find this unexpected: In Wano, it was made clear that blackening a sword’s blade is what raises its rank. So, if Zoro can accomplish this with all his swords, he would possess three Supreme Grade black blades. This would elevate him beyond even Mihawk.
One Piece Chapter 1146 is set to release this coming week, specifically on Sunday (April 20) for most international readers. In Japan, it’ll be released at 12AM JST on Monday (April 20), but don’t worry, you can read it for free on Manga Plus on the same date!
