Capcom’s new game, Pragmata, is already a big success, and players are especially charmed by the sweet connection between its main characters, Hugh and Diana. Despite being a fast-action shooter, the game is full of heartwarming moments that are sure to delight players.
The game features several incredibly touching moments that highlight the sweet connection between Diana and Hugh, and just how charming Diana is. Get ready to feel a range of emotions – you’re likely to cry, laugh, or at least smile! It’s not every day you see an AI child playfully chasing a holographic cat, after all.
10. Chasing the Cat
Diana Can be Fixed

Shortly after starting Pragmata, you’ll encounter a holographic cat. Diana, as a child, naturally chases after it, determined to catch it – a behavior many kids exhibit with animals. It’s a mystery why children love to sneak up on creatures, but they always seem to!
A cat was grooming itself on a railing when Diana suddenly jumped towards it, causing the cat to shift. Diana fell, but thankfully, Hugh was able to catch her before she hit the ground.
Hugh instantly switches into protective dad mode, scolding Diana for taking unnecessary risks. It’s a heartfelt moment that resonates with any parent who’s ever tried to teach their child a lesson. The scene is particularly impactful because, like many kids, Diana believes she’s untouchable.
9. How About Diana?
She Has a Name
Hugh is immediately irritated when he meets Diana. He’s already dealing with the loss of his team, and now he’s stranded on the moon with an AI that doesn’t understand the situation.
While on the shuttle, Diana wonders aloud why the robots are attacking. Everything feels confusing and directionless, but then Hugh tells Diana her name, offering a small sense of grounding.
This is when they first truly connect, and it feels significant. You’ll remember this moment throughout the game, and later realize how much they’ve grown since then.
8. Your First Picture
Diana’s Gift
You’ve been collecting things for Diana, and she’s been so cute reacting to them! It’s been lovely watching her get excited about all the Earth items you’ve found.
Diana had just received another gift from you when she excitedly asked if she could give you something. She quickly ran off and came back with a drawing of her and Hugh’s first tram ride together.
This moment feels unexpectedly powerful and can bring back strong feelings. While you’ll discover more drawings throughout the game, the very first one will always be especially memorable.
7. Diana Fell Down
Again
A major challenge in the game involves making your way to the communications tower. After exploring a moon-based version of New York City, you’ll encounter a huge, four-legged boss.
Dealing with this boss is really challenging. After a tough fight, the massive enemy grabs Hugh and Diana, but Diana manages to save them by using her hacking skills to bring down a large structure, ultimately crushing the boss.
Hugh and Diana stumble and fall, but Hugh immediately catches Diana, preventing any injuries. When he checks if she’s alright, she casually says, “I fell down again.” They then share a high five, reassuring each other that everything is fine. It’s a heartwarming moment you won’t soon forget as you play.
6. Biting the Software Disk
Diana Can Help
I’m really excited about Pragmata, and I’ve noticed these cool blue crystal formations everywhere that block your way. At first, they seemed impossible to get past, but then you find this awesome thing called the Lim Eraser in the Mass Production Array, and that changes everything! It lets you finally move forward.
Diana surprises Hugh by immediately putting the data drive in her mouth – a surprisingly cute moment! She then races over and breaks through a crystal barrier, turning to Hugh with a determined offer to help.
Hugh finally gives Diana the chance to show off her skills. She celebrates with a happy little dance that’s guaranteed to warm anyone’s heart – even if you’ve been playing the game with a cold attitude!
5. Hide and Seek
Diana isn’t Great at it
In Pragmata, the shelter acts as a hub where you can upgrade your equipment, access new items, and even play hide-and-seek. It’s an extra reward you get for discovering the hidden REMS throughout the game.
Eventually, Diana will mention the game Hide and Seek to Hugh. This will remind Hugh of his childhood, and he’ll share how good he always was at playing it. After that, Diana will challenge you to find her.
Diana will hide somewhere in the shelter, and she’ll be happy when you find her – and you definitely will! It’s a game you can play again and again, and it’s always a heartwarming and cheerful experience.
4. The Robot
A Hidden Dance
You can find all the outfits you’ve unlocked for Diana and Hugh near the tram area of the shelter. This is where they’re stored.
You can rush through choosing clothes, but it’s worth taking your time. If you wait about five or six minutes, you’ll trigger a fun scene where Hugh and Diana perform a robot dance!
Diana starts dancing, and Hugh immediately joins in to demonstrate the correct steps. It’s a really sweet moment that highlights their connection.
3. Stargazing
Earth is a Blue Marble
The Lunum Mines are a fast-paced area filled with jumping, dodging, and shooting. You’ll be constantly moving to avoid enemies, like the huge Lunadigger.

Amidst all the excitement, there’s a peaceful pause when you’re treated to a stunning view of Earth. Taking a moment to appreciate it triggers a cutscene featuring a conversation between Diana and Hugh about our planet.
The two characters share a tender conversation about Earth and Hugh’s lifelong fascination with the stars, as well as his extensive travels. He reflects on his relationship with his parents, which mirrors how he cares for Diana. It’s a beautifully gentle and touching scene.
2. It’s Real!
And Came Out in 2026
The development of Pragmata was quite challenging. It was first announced in 2020 with an initial release target of 2022, a date it ultimately failed to meet.
After its initial announcement, development on the game stalled, and there was little news about it for years. Many people thought the project had been cancelled and would never be released.
Fortunately, that turned out not to be the case. As a reminder of the difficult period, though, the game includes a sweet hidden detail in one of the cabin rooms: a small card with childlike drawings that says “2026. It’s real.”
1. Water Gun
Splashed
You can find lots of toys for Diana by discovering hidden collectibles in the game – these are called REMs. One fun toy to unlock is a water gun, and there’s even a special scene you can watch of Diana playing with it.
If you approach Diana while she’s playing with the water gun, a cutscene will begin. In this scene, Diana runs around spraying the water gun everywhere, and then she shoots it at Hugh, who is playfully acting like a monster.
Honestly, there’s this super cute moment in the game, but it’s easy to miss if you’re not really watching what Diana’s up to in the shelter. I almost skipped right past it!
