Elon Musk Issues Crucial AI Warning: Details

Elon Musk, founder of xAI and CEO of various thriving tech businesses including the X platform, has raised an alarm on his X account about the current direction of AI development. Except for the Grok AI bot, a creation of his own company, which he maintains oversight of.

Musk reacted to an interview given by Katherine Maher, the CEO and president of NPR – National Public Radio in the United States.

The extract of the interview commented on by Musk was shared by Marc Andreessen, with 1.2 million followers. In that video, Maher speaks of the First Amendment the in US legislation which ensures the freedom of speech and the press. The NRP CEO seems to be eager to get it out of the way to start censoring the information published on various platforms.

Andrade posted on Twitter that Maher and numerous others with similar perspectives are currently advocating for restricting speech and content online. He underscored that this trend also applies to artificial intelligence.

Musk expressed concern, aligning with Andreessen, that this method of AI development could jeopardize human civilization. In a previous tweet, he criticized OpenAI and its ChatGPT, warning of potential harm to humanity by introducing censorship and “wokeness” into the technology.
