April 20th is the celebrated day for Dogecoin enthusiasts globally, referred to as DOGE day or weed day. Notably, this year’s DOGE day followed closely after the fourth Bitcoin halving event.

On Twitter’s crypto community, there’s been a wave of jubilant messages in celebration of 4/20. Notably absent from these posts is Dogecoin’s prominent figure and influencer, Elon Musk. Instead, he has opted to share information about another significance this day holds for him.
First Starship launched on 4/20 2023
Elon Musk shared a post from the “DogeDesigner” (@cb_doge) account on Twitter, who is part of the DOGE and X communities. The excited tweet announced that on April 20, 2023, Elon Musk’s SpaceX successfully launched the Starship for the first time.
Later, Starship launches followed on November 18 in the same year and then on March 14 2024.
In 2021, Dogecoin, the first meme cryptocurrency, reached an impressive peak of $0.2201 on both March 29th and April 1st. This price jump was driven in part by Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, setting a new record-breaking high at $73,750 on March 14th.
As of this writing, Dogecoin is trading at $0.1519, according to CoinMarketCap data.
