On June 21, Pokemon GO has announced that Jangmo-o will be the highlight of their upcoming Community Day. This Alolan creature is relatively uncommon in Pokemon GO, making this event a great opportunity for players to catch and document Jangmo-o and its evolutionary forms in their Pokedex.

In the world of Pokemon GO, a multitude of formidable Dragon-type creatures abound, with stars like Latias and Reshiram atop the list. However, Jangmo-o, a relatively new addition from Generation 7, isn’t lagging too far behind. This Pokemon was introduced in Pokemon GO in the year 2022, and its shiny form made its grand entrance in 2024. Much like other Dragon-types, Jangmo-o doesn’t show up in the wild very frequently, nor is it easy to hatch. But here’s some good news for players: The charming scaly Pokemon is soon set to have its inaugural Community Day event!

On June 21st at 2:00 PM local time, Pokemon GO has announced that their Community Day event will star Jangmo-o. This three-hour event, ending at 5:00 PM, promises an increased appearance of Jangmo-o in the wild and a chance to encounter its shiny versions. During this period, players can evolve their Jangmo-o into Kommo-o, who will know the Dragon-type charged attack Clanging Scales, if evolved within the week following the event. The event also offers bonuses such as triple XP for catching Pokemon, double Candy, and an extra Special Trade opportunity. While the April and May Community Day events left some players unsatisfied due to featuring less popular Pokemon, fans have shown more enthusiasm for Jangmo-o’s June event.

Pokemon GO Reveals Jangmo-o for June 2025 Community Day

  • Dates: Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
  • Featured Pokemon: Jangmo-o*
  • Featured Attack: Evolve Hakamo-o (Jangmo-o’s Evolution) between the beginning of the event and June 28, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time to get a Kommo-o that knows the Charged Attack Clanging Scales.
    • Trainer Battles: 120 power and decreases Defense by one stage
    • Gyms and raids: 120 power
  • Event Bonuses
    • 3× XP for catching Pokemon.
    • 2× Candy for catching Pokemon.
    • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
    • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
    • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
    • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
    • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.**
