As a die-hard fan of One Piece, I can hardly contain my excitement as the grand finale has officially begun! The Final Saga kicked off with the enigmatic Egghead, shedding light on countless mysteries surrounding the One Piece world. But let me tell you, that was just the tip of the iceberg! The revelations continued in Elbaf, and to everyone’s astonishment, it’s none other than Imu who stands as the main antagonist. With Imu displaying an array of unseen powers, it’s evident that they wield a force beyond our comprehension – a biblical power of immense might!
Imu’s Character in One Piece So Far
Imu’s Power is Terrifying
Fans of One Piece have long been aware that the World Government could pose a threat. However, Eiichiro Oda decided to reveal the character of Imu much later into the narrative, particularly during the Reverie arc of the storyline.
Fans were taken aback when Imu’s true identity was unveiled, given that his character has always been enshrouded in mystery. However, with the arrival of the Final Saga, we’ve learned more about him. In the Elbaf arc, it was revealed that Imu chose to act through the body of one of the Holy Knights, Gunko.
It’s no secret among fans that Imu possesses an extraordinary amount of power, and they subtly govern the world behind the scenes. For centuries, Saint Imu has been speculated to have existed since the Void Century, with a strong bond to Arabasta, as Queen Lily – Vivi’s ancestor – vanished without a trace during that time.
In the latest One Piece chapter, Oda provides a glimpse into the largely unknown abilities of Imu, offering fans a tantalizing hint of just a portion of his power.
Imu’s Devil Fruit Power Might Have Already Been Revealed
Imu’s Fruit Could be The Leviathan
Fans have eagerly anticipated learning about the abilities of the enigmatic figure, Saint Imu Nerona, ever since his introduction in One Piece. The question on everyone’s mind is just how formidable Imu truly is, and whether or not he can rightfully be considered the most powerful character within the One Piece universe.
In the latest installment of “One Piece,” we get a glimpse into Imu’s immense power, leaving fans in awe as to why this character is the ruler of the world.
From what I’ve observed so far, it’s undeniable that Imu possesses some extraordinary abilities. The most awe-inspiring one, in my opinion, is the power to bestow immortality and limitless regeneration upon anyone they choose. This is evident in the Five Elders and the Holy Knights, who seem invulnerable to ordinary attacks. It appears that only particular strikes, which might be affecting their souls rather than their physical forms, can harm them.
As a fervent fan, it’s quite plausible that Imu possesses the ability to bestow powers similar to those conferred by Devil Fruits. The enigmatic powers wielded by the Five Elders might not stem from Devil Fruits, but rather, they could serve as a demonstration of what Imu is capable of granting. Their eerie, demonic forms further support this theory.
In the manga “One Piece,” it’s shown that Imu has the ability to manipulate people and, in certain instances, even seize control of their bodies. For example, in chapter 1149, we see that Imu took over Gunko’s body, using it for his own purposes. Prior to this, there were signs that Gunko was under mind control, as her behavior didn’t align with her usual character, which can be attributed to the potent powers of Imu.
Setting that aside, it appears that Imu has a peculiar ability to withstand multiple assaults. In the Reverie, for instance, when Sabo launched flames at Imu, it looked as though Imu was capable of simply absorbing them.
Or:
Regardless of other factors, Imu seems to possess an extraordinary capacity to endure numerous attacks. To illustrate, in the Reverie, Sabo’s fire attack seemed to be effortlessly absorbed by Imu.
“MU WILL SHOW THEE THE DOMINION OF GOD.” — Imu in One Piece 1149
Considering all factors, it appears that the abilities of Imu might be reminiscent of the Leviathan, the giant sea monster from the Bible, given its association with symbolic entities.
It’s highly plausible that Imu’s powers resemble the biblical creature, Leviathan. This assumption arises from the fact that Gunko and Saturn utilized something called the Abyss, which is often associated with the mouth of Leviathan in religious texts. Given these connections, it seems unlikely that this is all just a coincidence.
