Analogue has revealed that its revamped Nintendo 64 console, named the Analogue 3D, will now be available in July 2025 instead of the initial Q1 2025 release date. The Analogue 3D offers Nintendo 64 enthusiasts a chance to revisit their cherished classic games as it guarantees full compatibility with the entire N64 library.
In October 2024, Analogue unveiled that its 3D model, named Analogue 3D, will debut for a price of $249.99 starting from Q1 2025. The Analogue 3D will be offered in both black and white versions. Additionally, controller and accessory maker 8BitDo revealed they would produce an official 64 Bluetooth Controller, which can be purchased separately for $39.99 on Amazon. Pre-orders for the Analogue 3D were overwhelming when they went live last October, leading to immediate stock depletion. Unfortunately, fans looking forward to replaying their beloved Nintendo 64 games on this new console will have to wait longer due to a recent delay.
According to the official Twitter post from Analogue, the shipment date for Analogue 3D has been moved to July 2025. The company is making sure all orders will be fulfilled. Those who pre-ordered the retro gaming console last year don’t need to take any additional steps, but they can cancel their pre-orders if desired, as Analogue offers a full refund for pre-orders. However, some gamers have expressed varied opinions about the delay since Analogue hasn’t provided real-time footage of the console in action yet. Many are curious about how popular Nintendo 64 games will run on the system.
Analogue Delays Release and Shipments of the Analogue 3D Console to July 2025
Upon its release, the Analogue 3D console is expected to be compatible with every single game ever created for the Nintendo 64, as confirmed by Analogue. Rather than relying on emulation, this console utilizes hardware that can read original cartridges. The Analogue 3D is capable of playing Nintendo 64 games in high-definition 4K resolution and allows up to four classic N64 controllers to be used simultaneously, with additional controller options available via USB and Bluetooth. Furthermore, the Analogue 3D incorporates built-in Memory Pak and Expansion Pak features using new hardware, and it comes equipped with an HDMI cable, USB cable, and a USB-C power supply.
Though the Analogue 3D is not available for purchase as of now, the white version of the popular Analogue Pocket handheld has been restocked on the official Analogue site. This portable device is compatible with cartridge-based games from Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and even SEGA’s Game Gear systems. There remains stock for the black Analogue Pocket and all accessories at their official website.
Although there’s no new shipment of the Analogue 3D coming soon, a fresh supply of the white Analogue Pocket handheld has been added to the official Analogue store. This device works with cartridge-based games from Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and SEGA’s Game Gear systems. There is still stock available for the black Analogue Pocket and all accessories on their official site.
