The Wunderbarrage is a special Scorestreak only available in the Zombies mode of Black Ops 7. This guide will show you how to unlock it, whether you need it for weekly challenges or just want to know how the Wunderbarrage and Wundersignal work.
This guide explains how to build the Wundersignal. You’ll need to get the Transmitter, figure out the blinking lights puzzle at Tyr’s Head, and then use the Wunderbarrage again. It has all the information you’ll need, so be sure to read through it.
To unlock the Wunderbarrage (you’ll need to complete the main quest first), you’ll need a Jotunn Star. We’ve included a guide to help you get one below!
How to Get the Flak Gun Round in Totenreich
After you get the Jotunn Star, you can go to the second floor of the Lighthouse. Go upstairs, and you’ll find the Crowbar on a shelf near the east window, under the stairs.
Now that you have the Crowbar, you need to open a specific crate to find the Flak Gun Round. You can find a clue – the Cargo Manifest note – inside the War Factory, near where you got the Glocke Drop Controller. However, the crate containing the round changes location each time. So, the easiest way to find it is to simply open the crates we’ve marked until you get lucky and it drops.
- V-7 Crate: Dry Dock, located at the northwest wall in the corner, opposite Speed Cola on the ground.
- III-6 Crate: Fjord Road, located at the south corner by the blocked path at the back of the map.
- IV-3 Crate: Core Foundry, located downstairs of the eastern warehouse to the left of the VS Recon Wallbuy.
- X-9 Crate: War Factory, located upstairs at the northwest wall before entering the Admin Room.
If you open the wrong crate, you’ll receive a temporary elemental debuff, but it only lasts about 30 seconds, so it’s not a big deal if it happens.
Okay, so I finally snagged that Flak Gun Round from a crate. Now I’m heading over to Beacon Island, towards the Lighthouse. Once I got there, I went to the back of the Flak Gun – the side facing Eidskallen Landing, which is southwest on the map. I slotted the Flak Gun Round in, and then used the Jotunn Star to give the Flak Gun a good whack. Hopefully, that does the trick!
The Flak Gun will target the robot head at Eidskallen Landing. Once it does, you can walk up to the head and press the interact button to begin searching. When the search meter is full, the Transmitter will fall – simply pick it up to add it to your quest items.
To finish, bring the Transmitter to Tyr’s Head. You can get there by climbing up either Tyr’s Shoulder or Tyr’s Foot, both accessible from the Storm Bridge. Once there, place the Transmitter into the empty slot on the panel by interacting with it from the ladder on the left.
How to Solve the Transmitter Puzzle in Totenreich
Once the Transmitter is in place, the lights above the middle of Tyr’s panel – one on the left and one on the right – will start blinking. They’ll blink in a specific pattern, then pause, start a different pattern, and then repeat the first one. It’s important to write down both of these patterns.
Let’s say the left light flashed twice, then the right light flashed three times. Your numbers to remember would be 2 and 5, because the right light flashed a total of five times, and the left light only flashed twice. Write these numbers down, and then wait for the next sequence. In our case, it was the left light flashing seven times, followed by the right light flashing three times.
Okay, so first things first, make sure you’ve got those Tyr’s Head numbers locked in your memory! Then, head over to the Core Foundry. When you get there, look for the perk machine called Double Tap – right next to it, you’ll spot a rope completely covered in ice. You’re going to need to melt that ice, and the best way to do that is with a Molotov cocktail or a Charged Shot using the Jotunn Star. Once it’s clear, you can climb the tower!
On top of the tower, you can interact with the transmitter and input your numbers:
- Amplitude is the left light number (and you control it with the Left Stick)
- Frequency is the right light number (and you control it with the Right Stick).
We set the Amplitude to 2 and the Frequency to 5. Once the dials are correctly positioned, the Tyr P.A. will confirm your settings. After a brief pause, enter your next numbers, and the Tyr P.A. will confirm those too – you’ll also see some zombies with purple eyes appear.
In the warehouse opposite Double Tap, you can now find the Wunderbarrage Controller!
How to Get & Use the Wunderbarrage in Totenreich
You can get the Wunderbarrage again by crafting it at the Crafting Table in the “Support” section for about 2,000 Salvage. Or, you can try to fish for it as a lucky catch instead of using Salvage.
The Wunderbarrage unleashes a massive missile attack, firing five missiles across the entire map. These missiles inflict huge damage, so having PhD Flopper equipped is crucial to avoid getting hit by the explosion.
The Wunderbarrage isn’t a top-tier Scorestreak, but it’s enjoyable to use. It’s not the most effective choice for competitive play, but you’ll need it to complete weekly challenges and progress through the Main Quest.
