In the latest expansion of Pokemon TCG Pocket, known as Eevee Grove, there are numerous impressive cards worth collecting. Whether your goal is to acquire the most visually stunning cards in the game or the ones that are most effective for deck building, some choices may overlap. Many of the Gold Crown cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket are exceptionally rare, making them highly desirable finds in a pack, and they usually feature powerful, playable cards as well. Gathering all the cards available is no small feat, and the difficulty of acquiring specific cards for deck building can vary based on luck or random chance (RNG).
New players jumping into the world of Pokemon TCG Pocket might find it challenging to keep pace with the game’s rapidly evolving meta and frequent introduction of new cards each month. Building decks may seem straightforward at first, but there are intricate details hidden even in the most basic decks currently popular. Despite these complexities, both beginners and experienced players could benefit from starting to assemble two particular meta decks right now. These decks focus on Incineroar Ex in one instance, and Solgaleo Ex in another. Crafting them is surprisingly straightforward.
Why Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Meta Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex Decks Are Easy to Build
Among all expansions, Celestial Guardians stands out as an exceptional choice when it comes to opening booster packs due to its diverse array of cards that cater to both collectors and strategists. Predicting the longevity of specific cards or sets can be tricky, but Celestial Guardians offers numerous top-tier cards worth collecting. Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex have maintained their popularity since their release, with Incineroar Ex boasting a powerful 1-Energy attack and a bursty 3-Energy attack, while Solgaleo Ex is a resilient Metal card with 180 HP and the ability to deal 120 damage using just 2 Energy.
Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Incineroar Ex Meta Deck Explained
Generally, most Meta Incineroar Ex decks share a common card selection, with minor variations. Essential cards for the deck’s foundation include:
- 2x Litten – Heat Tackle (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Torracat – Heat Tackle (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Incineroar Ex (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Poke Ball (Launch promo)
- 2x Professor’s Research (Launch promo)
- 1x Pokemon Communication (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 1x or 2x Giant Cape (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 0x or 1x Rocky Helmet (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 1x Cyrus (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 2x Rare Candy (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Lillie (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Hau (Eevee Grove)
In this Pokemon TCG setup, the deck has the flexibility to incorporate a single Red Card, Mars, or Sabrina, or even all three, depending on the cards being removed. However, the heart of the deck primarily consists of Celestial Guardians cards from the Pocket version, some from Space-Time Smackdown, several promos, and the latest Hau Supporter from Eevee Grove. This configuration allows Incineroar Ex to dish out 80 damage with its first attack and up to 170 with its second, making it extremely powerful and reliable. While the deck struggles against Oricorio, it’s not a lost cause.
In terms of common decks, players can confidently draw Celestial Guardians and acquire many essential cards. Notably, Celestial Guardians were launched at the end of April, so regular players with a few months under their belt are likely to possess the fundamental components of the deck already.
Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Solgaleo Ex Meta Deck Explained
In the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, Solgaleo Ex decks are exceptionally powerful due to their swiftness and consistency. They can get Solgaleo Ex onto the battlefield and prepared for an attack as early as turns two or three. Typically, these decks include:
- 2x Cosmog (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Cosmoem (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Solgaleo Ex (Celestial Guardians)
- 2x Morelull (Celestial Guardians – it has 60 HP instead of 50)
- 2x Shiinotic (Extradimensional Crisis)
- 2x Poke Ball (Launch promo)
- 2x Professor’s Research (Launch promo)
- 1x Cyrus (Space-Time Smackdown)
- 1x or 2x Leftovers (Eevee Grove)
- 1x or 2x Poison Barb (Extradimensional Crisis)
- 2x Rare Candy (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Lillie (Celestial Guardians)
- 1x Pokemon Communication (Space-Time Smackdown)
As a gamer, I find that building my Solgaleo Ex and Shiinotic decks is quite similar to crafting an Incineroar Ex deck, since they all utilize cards from the Celestial Guardians set. Gathering the necessary cards isn’t too difficult. The fresh addition to these decks is the new Leftovers Tool from the Pokemon TCG Pocket, which proves incredibly powerful for Solgaleo Ex, as its passive healing synergizes wonderfully with the Sol Breaker attack, inflicting 10 points of recoil damage and immediately restoring health thanks to the Leftovers Tool’s instant healing.
In this deck setup, it’s not essential to have Pokémon Communication since Solgaleo EX and Shiinotic decks primarily focus on drawing cards and Shiinotic’s Illuminate ability to swiftly assemble the combo pieces. As an alternative, the Red Card from Pokémon TCG Pocket and Mars could be effective stand-ins due to the prevalence of Sylveon EX in the current meta. Making opponents discard their cards can prove advantageous in these circumstances.
Obtaining a Red Card is quite straightforward as it’s being offered as part of a promotional launch, similar to Poke Balls and Professor’s Research. This means that players have the opportunity to acquire it without any cost from the in-game shop.
Why Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex Decks’ Cards Are Easy to Get in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Typically, Pokemon TCG Pocket decks that need several Ex cards may be more challenging to assemble since they aren’t easily obtainable or guaranteed. This often forces players to depend on luck through Wonder Pick or opening booster packs. However, fortunately, the scarcest cards in these two specific decks are Incineroar Ex and Solgaleo Ex, which both originate from the same set, making it slightly easier to collect them compared to other rare Ex cards.
In simpler terms, approximately 45% of the Incineroar Ex deck comes from Celestial Guardians, while another 20% is from promotional cards. This makes it one of the simplest decks to construct within the game. Similarly, the Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Solgaleo Ex and Shiinotic deck consists of 50% cards from Celestial Guardians. Both these decks typically use only one or two copies of a new card each from Eevee Grove. Interestingly, both decks cost a total of 70 Pack Points each, making it relatively easy for even seasoned players to construct them now.
