Production for the second season of HBO’s Harry Potter TV series is scheduled to begin this fall, even while the first season is still being finished. There were concerns about lengthy gaps between seasons, which is common for popular shows now, but HBO aims to keep the series moving forward. This is partly because the young actors will age, potentially outgrowing their roles as the characters from the books. Each season is expected to be even more ambitious—and expensive—than the Harry Potter films, with bigger budgets and longer shooting schedules.

In an interview with Stephen Totilo from Game File, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the development of BioShock 4. While he wasn’t surprised by the game’s lengthy development – he’s closely involved in the process – he admitted to being “deeply disappointed” with how long it’s taking. He explained that a true surprise would mean a sudden, unexpected shift, which isn’t how he manages the company.

I’ve been a Monster Hunter fan since the days of the PSP, so I was comparing this new game to the incredibly refined experience of World and Iceborne. Wilds aims to go beyond what World offered, and for the most part, it pulls it off. The smooth, open environments, the focus on hitting monster wounds, and the way the game’s ecosystems feel alive and independent all combine to create a truly evolved experience.

Yesterday, Nintendo held a special Direct presentation to announce a complete remake of the classic game Star Fox 64. Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, the original creator of Star Fox, and producer Yoshiaki Koizumi revealed the updated game will feature dramatically improved graphics, redesigned characters, updated cutscenes, fully spoken dialogue, and a brand new orchestral soundtrack.

Mortal Kombat 2 continues the story from the 2021 film, showing the epic battle between Earthrealm and Outworld in the Mortal Kombat tournament. This time, the focus is more on Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban, as the main character, though the movie still features a large cast of characters and the famously violent finishing moves from the video games.
