A dedicated Pokemon enthusiast has introduced fresh regional versions for Slugma and Magcargo, along with a novel evolution to expand the family tree. This creative fan’s reimagined forms of Slugma and Magcargo alter their typings, which significantly impact their revamped appearances.
The various regional versions of Pokemon, similar species, and branching evolutions have sparked imaginative thoughts among dedicated fans. Although most Pokemon have well-established evolutionary paths, the possibility for new forms or convergent spin-offs has inspired numerous clever fan theories that many hope could become a reality within an actual game.
Pokemon Fan Gives Slugma a New Regional Form Line
Currently, a fan artist named primaljort has unveiled their concept of how Slugma could evolve if it acquires a new geographical lineage. In this scenario, Slugma sheds its Fire-type classification and transforms into a Dragon-type instead. Its habitat is now a murky coastal cave, rather than the typical volcanic environments and mountains where regular versions are usually found. This shift in type and environment has caused Slugma to change predominantly to a blue color and develop tusks. Magcargo, on the other hand, has morphed into a Dragon/Water-type Pokemon that primarily feeds on Gastrodons and Cloysters. The description of this Pokemon suggests it obtains its shell from Slowbros or Slowkings, while its powerful bite can serve as an intimidation tactic against other Pokemon.
Last but not least, the Pokemon family tree has expanded to include a newcomer named Regicargo. This Pokemon continues the Dragon/Water lineage, standing out by being significantly larger than its previous counterparts. It boasts an impressive size in proportion to its voracious appetite, reminiscent of classic dragon tales. Unusually, it displays hoarding behaviors, even going as far as stealing King’s Rocks, thus impeding other Pokemon from evolving. Notably, Regicargo adorns itself with the very King’s Rocks that it has pilfered. Its attributes have also seen a considerable boost, with improvements in HP, Attack, Special Attack, and Special Defense.

It appears that enthusiasts of PokeMON are quite captivated by the idea of these regional variations. Some admiration has been directed towards the innovative ideas, while others have lauded the artwork, suggesting these depictions would seamlessly fit into a game. Another fan was drawn to the concept of a sturdy Water/Dragon-type Pokemon, and Regicargo seems to embody that role perfectly. Although these designs may never make it into a genuine PokeMON game, artist primaljort has a history of creating hypothetical PokeMON concepts, so fans might want to explore their other creations.
