This Classic Video Game Franchise Deserves LEGO Sets, But Two Things Are Holding It Back

The Resident Evil series has consistently delivered excellent games and expanded into various other forms of entertainment. The original Resident Evil in 1996 was a huge hit, leading to five sequels and a live-action movie within just six years. This established the franchise as a classic, celebrated for its unique blend of genres, gripping survival horror, and memorable characters. Despite years of requests, LEGO hasn’t officially created Resident Evil sets, so fans have taken matters into their own hands, building custom creations and even a LEGO animation based on Resident Evil 4. Given its popularity, Resident Evil seems like a perfect fit for LEGO, but two key aspects of the series may be preventing official sets from happening.
