Pokemon GO Reveals New Adventure Effect

In the upcoming days, a fresh Adventure Effect for Eternatus will be unveiled within Pokemon GO. This Generation 8 Legendary creature is anticipated to shine in Pokemon GO during August, making a significant impact as it features prominently in the closing festivities of GO Fest 2025.

Eternatus is an extraordinary creature that doesn’t transform from any other Pokemon, but instead, it has two distinct forms. The most recognized form of this Poison/Dragon-type Pokemon is its regular one, but in the game “Pokemon Sword and Shield”, players encounter the colossal Eternamax Eternatus. Although Eternatus’ skeletal draconic appearance grabs attention, it’s not just that which sets it apart. Not only is it the origin of the Dynamax phenomenon, but it also towers as the tallest Pokemon. Now, Eternatus is making its way to “Pokemon GO”, and Niantic plans to introduce a new feature to enhance its power even further.

Pokemon GO Reveals Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect for Eternatus

The introduction of Eternatus in Pokemon GO includes the availability of its Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect during its global release. Captured Eternatus from the Max Finale encounter will possess the Charged Attack Dynamax Cannon, and activating this ability requires 5000 Stardust and 30 Eternatus Candy. Once activated, players can enhance their Pokemon’s Max Moves in Max Battles for a duration of 10 minutes. During this time, moves that are normally locked will become available at level 1, while level 3 moves will be boosted to level 4. However, it is crucial to remember that while the Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect is active, no other effects can be applied.

To capture Eternatus, trainers need to accomplish tasks from the GO Pass: Max Finale, which will be accessible between Monday, August 18, at 10 am and Sunday, August 24, at 9 pm local time. All players will receive a standard pass, while the deluxe pass can be bought for extra rewards and quicker advancement. As trainers level up their passes, they’ll not only have a chance to get Eternatus but also encounter Dynamax Pokemon, gather Max Particles, and earn Candy. The deluxe pass offers additional perks like an Eternatus avatar item, extra Candy and Candy XL, and additional Max Particles.

Alongside the anticipated GO Pass Max Finale and the introduction of Eternatus, there’s plenty more excitement in store for GO Fest 2025! During the Dark Skies event from August 18 to August 24, you can expect Zacian and Zamazenta raids, fresh Timed Research, and interactions with Dynamax creatures. The Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale event will unfold on August 23-24, offering Eternamax Eternatus, featuring Gigantamax battles, as well as an increase in the appearance of 17 pocket monsters, including the Kanto starters.
