My Hero Academia Season 8 Will See A Fan-Favorite Hero Make His Final Stand

This article contains spoilers for MHA season 7

As the eighth and concluding season of “My Hero Academia” approaches, fans eagerly anticipate which characters will contribute significantly towards defeating All For One and Shigaraki in the Final War. With only a few manga chapters remaining to be adapted, the anime series is running low on material, and many heroes have already been incapacitated. However, there are still a select few with enough determination left to persevere, and one hero in particular is set for a powerful return in the final season.

Given All For One’s immense power, it’s clear that the heroes need all hands on deck to inflict any substantial damage on him. Fortunately, it seems they may have found their game-changer in the mix. Readers of the My Hero Academia manga will be well aware of the exciting prospects for the final season, especially if they are avid fans of a legendary hero who is poised to make a grand comeback to protect the world from evil.

All Might Has One Final Shot To Stop All For One In His Tracks

“I’m Here”

Initially, All Might was the strongest hero in the series, but later, he lost his powers by transferring them to Deku, making him more of a supporting character for a while. Despite this, All Might took on the role of a mentor for Deku, encouraging him from the sidelines. Surprisingly, even though it seemed like we wouldn’t witness All Might in action again, there’s still a chance he can regain his strength and set things right once more.

Towards the close of season 7, viewers got a sneak peek at All Might’s updated support system, a device that links to his car, Hercules. By enveloping himself in it and transforming into a colossal, mechanized titan, the retired number one hero adopts the form of Armored All Might. This enhanced version is armed with an arsenal of lethal weapons and gadgets, several of which are derived from Deku and his classmates’ Quirks.

In the previous episode, brief glimpses of the initial skirmish were displayed, yet it’s clear that All Might still possesses a significant reserve of power, as demonstrated by his uncontrollable fit of maniacal laughter upon realizing he can finally aid those in distress. Although All Might would be no match for his arch-nemesis in his regular form, his technologically advanced support equipment at least offers him a viable fight, and it’s safe to assume that he will engage this confrontation with every ounce of energy he has, given the extensive history between them.

All Might And All For One’s Heated Rivalry

This Fight Will Close The Book On The Heated Feud Between Hero And Villain

The primary motivation driving All Might to confront All For One during the Final War was their long-standing animosity towards each other that spanned most of their lives. All For One, being the antagonist, had initially pushed All Might to his breaking point, causing him to relinquish the last remnants of his Quirk. Moreover, All For One is also known for murdering All Might’s mentor Nana, an act that has left a deep psychological impact on the hero with the highest rank.

In the latest chapter of our tale, it’s my beloved comrade from Gran Torino who’s been on the brink of disaster, thanks to Shigaraki. Shigaraki, heavily swayed by All For One, has transformed into a menacing villain in this story, and witnessing such a transformation under his new master’s influence truly stirs something deep within All Might. After all, he aspires to be nothing like the ominous mentor that he fears becoming towards his own disciple.

Even though All For One could defeat most villains swiftly during his prime, he’s consistently proven difficult for All Might to defeat. This is reasonable given that All For One possesses the ability to activate multiple Quirks simultaneously, a skill demonstrated in the Final War, which makes him extremely hard to counter due to his diverse and dangerous array of powers.

Does All Might Stand A Chance Against All For One?

All Might May Have Bitten Off More Than He Can Chew

In my perspective, it’s solely due to his Support Gear that All Might is participating in the Final War as a fighter, yet one can’t help but wonder if this will be sufficient against the might of All For One, who has grown exponentially powerful. Fortunately, All For One has sustained significant damage from other heroes prior, which means his body is aging at an accelerated pace, making him appear almost like a young boy by the time I witness the commencement of their battle.

In simpler terms, this statement implies that despite All Might’s suit being damaged, there’s still a chance for him to fight. Given that All For One has numerous projectiles, All Might must be extremely agile to dodge them. However, since it’s likely he’ll take some hits during the battle, he also needs to rely on Hercules’ durability to withstand enough damage until the fight ends.

Even though All Might no longer possesses his immense raw power, he still retains a collection of Quirk abilities embedded in his suit, ready to use whenever necessary. However, if All Might were to lose this battle, it’s highly improbable that All For One would choose to spare him, given his long-standing desire to eliminate All Might. In any case, witnessing the return of the Quirkless hero for a final confrontation promises an exciting spectacle. Yet, the outcome of this decisive encounter could have profound implications, not only for Japan but for the world at large, and might even determine the course of the entire war, potentially shaping the future itself.
