Battlefield 6’s Anti-Cheat Engine Has Blocked 330,000+ Cheating Attempts

In natural and easy-to-read language: Battlefield 6 faces a significant challenge in ensuring its gameplay remains authentic and stable. The beta version of the game was launched only recently, yet the Javelin anti-cheat system has already encountered over 330,000 attempts at cheating.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve noticed some unusual gameplay popping up in the beta recently, which is quite odd and not cool at all. But fear not, the SPEAR team behind Javelin has got it under control! They’ve assured us that there’s an ongoing influx of reports from the community, and those sneaky cheaters are being swiftly booted out. So, let’s keep playing fair and enjoy the game together!

Why Bother?

It’s quite surprising that some individuals are resorting to cheating even in a beta version of the game. Perhaps unscrupulous developers are honing their skills early, before the game officially launches on October 10th.

According to a report posted on the EA forum by the SPEAR anti-cheat group, they detailed the extent of the cheating issue.

Javelin has prevented 330,000 attempts to cheat or tamper with anti-cheat controls.

During the first day, you identified approximately 44,000 potential cases of individuals acting suspiciously. So far today, an additional 60,000 such cases have been reported.

Currently, our in-house Gameplay Integrity squad is employing these tools to enhance and augment our detection mechanisms for Battlefield 6. Simultaneously, they collaborate with the Battlefield Positive Play team to swiftly eliminate confirmed cheaters based on reports received.

Lately, videos showing clear instances of cheating, filmed from the perpetrators’ point of view, have been shared widely on social media. These videos have created a noticeable weakness in the impeccable reputation of a beta (a person or system), which was previously considered flawless.

It’s not surprising these days that multiplayer games often encounter cheaters, with some experiencing it more frequently than others. For example, the developers of Escape from Tarkov recently revealed that over 3,600 cheaters were banned in just three weeks, and they consistently issue such reports every few weeks.

As a dedicated Battlefield 6 fan, have I encountered any underhanded players during the beta testing so far? I’d love to hear about any sneaky behavior you’ve observed and discussed on the TopMob forum.
