August 19 is Going to Be a Super Busy Day for PS Plus

On August 19 (Tuesday), PlayStation Plus subscribers can anticipate a packed day as 11 new games will simultaneously join both the Extra and Premium tiers. Concurrently, 14 existing games will be leaving these libraries. Every month, Sony refreshes the Extra and Premium game libraries for PlayStation Plus, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh content to play. However, it’s important to note that this rotation also means some games will be taken off the roster.

In simpler terms, games obtained through the basic PlayStation Plus (Essential) membership can be kept as long as you continue your subscription, unlike the Extra and Premium tiers where games are rotated, meaning if a game is removed, you’d need to buy it separately if you want to keep playing.

As a dedicated player, I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates about our beloved PlayStation Plus subscription! The terrific thing is, the majority of games available in Extra and Premium tiers stick around for at least an entire year before they’re phased out – providing us ample time to immerse ourselves in these fantastic titles.

With this knowledge in mind, I can’t help but get excited about nine fresh games joining PS Plus Extra on August 19! Additionally, two new games are set to debut in the Premium tier on the same day. However, we’ll have to bid farewell to a substantial 14 games leaving the service on August 19, and alas, it’s now too late for us to experience all of them thoroughly.

“Sword of the Sea” is a brand-new title debuting on PS Plus Extra starting August 19, while strategy game enthusiasts might appreciate the well-regarded “Unicorn Overlord”. Furthermore, those who enjoy games reminiscent of “Stardew Valley” will find “Coral Island” an interesting addition.

On August 19th, I’m excited to share that as a PS Plus Premium member, two classic Resident Evil games are joining our service! You can look forward to immersing yourself in the PS1 versions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. However, there is one thing to note – unlike some other classic titles added to PS Plus Premium, these games won’t offer trophy support. Nevertheless, I believe the thrilling gameplay and chilling horror will make up for it!
