At last, the much-anticipated launch date for Hollow Knight: Silksong has officially been unveiled during Gamescom 2025.
In February 2019, our Andy Highton had an early hands-on experience with Hollow Knight: Silksong at Gamescom and was greatly impressed. Online fans are anxiously anticipating playing the same demo and are eagerly counting down the days until a release date is finally announced.
The final date for the wait is now unveiled, accompanied by a brief trailer with a special message from Team Cherry.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Releases September 4
As a thrilled gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share some exciting news! In a recent video reveal on the YouTube platform, the talented team at Team Cherry pulled back the curtain on some fresh gameplay from their highly-anticipated sequel. Not only that, but they also announced the official release date for us all to mark in our calendars!
Enduring a prolonged and excruciating anticipation preceded a brief video, which included a three-minute countdown and snippets of gameplay. However, the main event was saved for last as the announcement for the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong on September 4 was made.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch (versions 1 & 2). It will also be accessible through Xbox Game Pass.
