Pokemon and Build-a-Bear are joining forces once more, unveiling a new Wooloo plush toy and an oversized Gengar. The launch dates for these Build-a-Bear toys have already been announced, so Pokemon enthusiasts should prepare to grab them quickly before they’re all gone.
Build-a-Bear’s Pokémon creations are often highly sought-after, with people appreciating their adorable designs, premium quality, and included wearable extras. Although Gengar already has a Build-a-Bear, the enormous popularity of this Ghost-type Pokémon continues, leading to the introduction of a new jumbo version.
Pokemon Wooloo and Giant Gengar Build-a-Bear Plushes Introduced
In collaboration, Pokemon and Build-a-Bear Workshop have unveiled plush versions of Wooloo and a colossal Gengar. Excitingly, fans won’t have to wait long to add Wooloo to their collection – it will be available for purchase online through the Build-a-Bear website starting August 26. As for the giant Gengar, its release date is yet to be confirmed, but it’s targeting September 2025 as indicated on Build-a-Bear’s official site. Both characters are fan favorites, but with over 4,000 views of the store listing in just the past 24 hours since this story was published, Gengar enthusiasts should prepare for some tough competition to secure one.
The 11-inch Wooloo plush, featuring a flower-adorned headband and bow-accessorized tails, will retail for $60 USD. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 5-in-1 sound chip showcasing its unique sounds. Conversely, the colossal Gengar stands at an impressive 24 inches tall and will set you back $149. Although not life-sized, this Gengar surpasses the original 2021 Build-a-Bear in height. It dons a purple Pokeball coat like its smaller counterpart but lacks the sound chip. Keep in mind that due to its substantial size, some shipping options may not be available or could incur additional costs.

The lasting appeal of Gengar suggests that its plush toys might run out soon, so fans shouldn’t miss their chance to buy one. Wooloo enthusiasts aren’t left behind either – they can also join in the fun while supplies last. Right now, only a Charizard jumbo Pokemon plush is available from Build-a-Bear, and it shares roughly the same height as Gengar. It’s expected that more oversized Pokémon plushies will be released eventually, so fans eager to see their favorites in this format should stay tuned for updates.
