Pokemon GO Players Point Out Major Frustration with Max Battles

As an ardent Pokémon GO enthusiast, I’ve noticed a considerable hitch that some of us with irregular schedules face: the time constraints on Max Battles. It’s great that most aspects of the game can be enjoyed at any hour, but the Max Battles can only be joined between 6 am and 9 pm local time. This limitation is causing quite a stir among players like myself.

Within the enthusiastic community of Pokémon GO, there is a frequent exchange of ideas about alterations they’d prefer to see in the game. Although not every suggestion is implemented by the developers, the fervent fans do occasionally receive their requested updates. A recent example of this is when the level cap for Pokémon trainers was raised.

Pokemon GO Players Take Issue With Max Battle Time Restrictions

As a dedicated Pokémon GO player myself who often works late shifts, I’ve noticed that the time restriction on Max Battles can pose a significant challenge. For instance, Downtown_Injury_3415, another fellow player, has highlighted this issue as well. They work during the night and, unfortunately, their breaks align with the hours when they could engage in Max Battles, but due to the time limit, it’s just not feasible. Starting a Max Battle at 6 am might seem straightforward for most, but for us, it’s often when we’re already catching some much-needed sleep or still in bed. It would be great if there were more flexible options available for players like us to fully enjoy the game.

Various fans have voiced their thoughts regarding the matter, with some echoing Downtown_Injury_3415’s concerns and others pointing out that factors like high temperatures and harsh weather can make playing Pokemon GO challenging. They’ve suggested that the limited playtime might be implemented to discourage loitering at night or to ensure safety, particularly for younger players venturing out in the dark. Some have proposed extending the time limit by a couple of hours during the evening as a potential solution, while others have suggested tailoring the time gates based on the type of business or property associated with the Power Spot.

Unfortunately, because of concerns about potential danger and suspicions raised by playing Pokemon GO late into the night, it seems unlikely that developer Scopely will alter the way the time-gated system operates. Instead of making it more user-friendly, some enthusiasts have proposed a solution where Max Battles are initially hidden until they become accessible again, as encountering them on the map only to discover they’re currently unavailable can be frustrating in itself.
