Rocksteady Hires Former Assassin’s Creed Director For Same Role

Rocksteady Studios, known for leading a prominent gaming franchise, is entrusting its upcoming game’s development to a seasoned professional. As per his LinkedIn profile, Bill Money has been serving as the game director at Rocksteady Studios since July 2025.

He joins the studio after spending 10 years at Ubisoft Singapore in the same role.

Throughout his tenure at Ubisoft, Money spearheaded projects such as Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Valhalla, the Siege of Paris DLC, and Origins. Before joining Ubisoft, he served as a creative director at Darkside Game Studios and a design director at WB Games Montreal. While at WB Games, Money contributed to the development of Batman: Arkham Origins.

It’s unclear which game Seamus McSwiggans (Money) is set to direct next, but it’s rumored to be Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming Batman title. Since their last mainline Batman game, Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, they have produced Batman: Arkham VR for PC and PS4 (released in 2016) and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (released in 2023).

Previously, it was announced that the studio had let go of a certain amount of employees when the production for Suicide Squad came to a close this year.

According to Warner Bros., they’ve made it clear that they plan to prioritize their most valuable intellectual properties. When the next Batman game eventually arrives, there won’t just be one Batman project on the horizon. LEGO Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight was unveiled during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 and is slated for release in 2026.
