In the world of “One Piece”, the Straw Hat Pirates stand out as the central protagonists. This formidable group possesses an impressive roster of fighters, many of whom have defeated some of the strongest characters within the series. While the Monster Trio often steals the spotlight, there are other crew members who also possess remarkable abilities, with Nico Robin being one such example.

Although her main profession is as an archaeologist, Robin has shown remarkable skills as a formidable fighter. In the Wano Country arc, she demonstrated this by overpowering Black Maria. Yet, to defeat her upcoming adversaries in One Piece, she will likely require further enhancements.

Nico Robin has largely perfected the use of her Devil Fruit powers, exhibiting an impressive versatility in manipulating various limbs. Recently, her power-up, Demonio Fleur, demonstrated the ability to subdue someone as formidable as Black Maria, showcasing her exceptional command over her Devil Fruit abilities. However, it’s clear from her battles that her current powers are insufficient for defeating opponents with Logia-type Devil Fruits, hence the need for Haki to enhance her combat effectiveness.

Currently, I find myself nestled within the Straw Hat Pirates crew, proudly standing as the fifth-strongest member. The Monster Trio and Jimbei lie ahead of me in combat skill, but fear not! My peers are continually advancing, and all possess Haki, a powerful ability. Realizing the gap closing between us is my motivation to learn Haki, so I can stay within reach of their potential.

Oda is required to equip his crew members with Haki because the opponents they will face in the Final Saga are largely immortal, and it appears to be the sole means of injuring them. This was evident when Robin encountered Shepherd Sommers, one of the Holy Knights. Sommers effortlessly overpowered Robin and would have likely killed her if Scopper Gaban hadn’t intervened at the last moment.

Robin’s Devil Fruit Awakening Will Change Everything

When Robin acquires Haki, it’ll undoubtedly enhance her combat skills. She’d then be capable of confronting more formidable adversaries, a boon for the team. Most likely, she’ll obtain Armament Haki, as its synergy with her Devil Fruit power seems promising. While the probability of Robin getting Observation Haki is relatively low, it would be imprudent to dismiss the idea completely.

Besides enhancing Robin’s Armament Haki, it’s likely that Oda will eventually bestow upon her a Devil Fruit Awakening. As we’ve mentioned before, Nico Robin has come very close to mastering the Hana Hana no Mi, which allows her to create copies of herself for combat purposes. The only thing she’s yet to receive is the Devil Fruit Awakening, which would grant her access to more advanced attack techniques with increased power.

Nico Robin’s ultimate adversary is set to be Catarina Devon, a member of the Blackbeard Pirates and infamously known as the Crescent Moon Hunter. Notorious for her crimes, she was imprisoned on Level 6 of Impel Down, one of the most dangerous places in the world. With numerous battles with top-tier fighters under her belt throughout her life, Catarina Devon possesses a wealth of experience and skill.

She also wields the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that gives her the ability to transform into any person she comes into contact with. As this is a Zoan-class fruit, it’s expected that she may also gain enhanced physical abilities.

Thus far, Catarina has only demonstrated her power through transformation, and the full extent of its capabilities remains unknown. However, more will be revealed in future story arcs.

Nico Robin’s clash with Catarina Devon promises to be a spectacular showdown. Both are renowned pirates in One Piece, each possessing formidable powers and lethal skills. As it stands, Robin’s intelligence is her key edge. She’s resourceful and adept at exploiting the vulnerabilities of her adversary.
