As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement after catching wind of a sneak peek at Battlefield 6 gameplay! This tantalizing video leak shows that we’ll be armed with thermal scopes, a game-changing feature for those who thrive on taking down foes from afar. Having been among the lucky few given early access to Battlefield 6 gameplay, I can only imagine how the strategic landscape of combat will transform once we get our hands on this remarkable tool-an experience I eagerly look forward to!
In approximately four years since the last installment in the FPS series, “Battlefield 6” is scheduled for release on October 10. Two recent open beta sessions have surpassed previous franchise benchmarks, with simultaneous player numbers exceeding half a million. Although the open beta phases gave a glimpse of almost half the number of maps that players will get at launch, the development team still has some surprises in store for October.
Battlefield 6 Thermal Scopes Revealed in Leaked Gameplay Video
A recent Twitter post by BattlePulse, a source for Battlefield 6 news, shares around a minute of what seems to be in-game footage. The video shows a player battling enemies equipped with a thermal scope on their weapon. When the player zooms in, the thermal scope highlights the battlefield in shades of gray, making warm objects like players and heated sources stand out brightly in white against the background. It looks like this thermal scope can be attached to various weapons in Battlefield 6, as the video switches between a sniper taking down opponents from afar and a soldier using an assault rifle for close combat in narrow alleyways.
Thermal imaging is very useful for finding opponents, but it’s especially beneficial for snipers who need to hit targets from a long distance. For players who enjoy taking out enemies from afar, having a thermal scope would be a significant advantage. This is worth noting because although Battlefield 6 has reduced the glint on its sniper scopes, the developers currently have no plans to eliminate it completely.
It appears that there’s no solid evidence yet that thermal scopes will be included in the game at its launch, but the leaked video certainly looks authentic. More details about the initial version of the game should become clear when Battlefield 6 is showcased at the Tokyo Game Show on September 26, particularly focusing on its campaign mode.
