The highly anticipated collaboration between *Overwatch 2* and *Persona 5* is finally here! Starting September 16th, players can enjoy five new Legendary skins – featuring Mercy as Panther, D.Va as Queen, Wuyang as Joker, Genji as Skull, and Lifeweaver as Fox. The event will also include special in-game challenges, a themed event hub, and plenty of hidden surprises, making this crossover a really exciting addition to *Overwatch 2*.
Starting with the *Cowboy Bebop* event in Season 9, *Overwatch 2* has consistently featured a collaboration with another franchise each season. The trailer for Season 18 revealed that *Persona 5*’s main character, Joker, will be available as a playable skin.
All Overwatch 2 x Persona 5 Collaboration Skins
After a few weeks of teasers, the Overwatch 2 and Persona 5 collaboration is officially here! From September 16th to 30th, players can purchase five limited-edition Persona 5 skins in the Overwatch 2 in-game store. Genji will get a look inspired by Ryuji Sakamoto, while Mercy transforms into Ann Tamaki. D.Va will become Makoto Niijima, and Lifeweaver will dress as Yusuke Kitagawa. Notably, the newest Overwatch 2 hero, Wuyang, will be available as Joker, making this the fastest turnaround ever for a new character to receive a collaboration skin.

These Overwatch 2 skins are full of nods to the world of Persona 5! For example, Mercy’s design takes inspiration from Panther’s Persona, Carmen, while Wuyang’s staff resembles Arsene. D.Va’s mech even draws from Queen’s motorcycle, Johanna. As a final touch, the characters leave behind small paint splatters as they move, referencing Persona 5’s distinctive artistic style.
In addition to character skins, the collaboration includes nods to *Persona 5* fans will recognize. A special event area will have the same look and feel as the *Persona 5* menus, and players can search the maps for a hidden spot that looks a lot like the Velvet Room. The collaboration’s artwork was created by Shigenori Soejima, the artist who designed the characters for *Persona 5*.
