I’m really excited about *Hollow Knight: Silksong*, and I’ve been reading up on the story! It looks like the main quest is split into three parts. There are 21 main quests total, but you won’t actually complete all of them in one go – the most you can finish is 20. If you’re aiming for the normal ending, you only need to tackle nine quests, which is cool!
There are also 54 side quests known as Wishes. Most of these are optional, although anybody hoping to unlock the third act of Hollow Knight: Silksong and experience the game’s true ending will need to tackle a fairly decent chunk of them, as too will players hoping to achieve 100% completion.

You can only find ‘A Vassal Lost Wish’ when playing in Steel Soul mode. If you don’t activate the Broodfeast Wish before Act 3 starts, you’ll receive Runtfeast instead, but the goals and reward will be identical.
