Her capture was essentially the cause of the entire conflict. John’s crew followed him to God Valley hoping to rescue her, and neither the Roger Pirates nor Garp’s forces would have gone there otherwise. The Celestial Dragons kidnapping Shakky sparked the mobilization of the world’s most influential people, each vying to possess her.
