Okay, so I’m really loving *Borderlands 4* – it genuinely seems like a contender for the best game in the series! It just came out last week, and even though *Borderlands 3* from 2019 wasn’t great and there was a lot of drama with the CEO beforehand, people are really enjoying it. But, unfortunately, a pretty serious bug has been found that’s causing problems for some players, which is a real bummer.
Borderlands 4 features four unique characters, called Vault Hunters, each with special abilities and skill trees. Harlowe is a resourceful engineer, Rafa is a stealthy exosoldier, Amon is a powerful and tough fighter, and Vex is the Siren – a character who can create copies of herself or her companion, Trouble, in battle. Players can customize each Vault Hunter with three different abilities, and extensive skill trees, to create powerful builds. These skills, including Kill Skills and Attunements, work together to help players easily defeat enemies.
Borderlands 4 Bug is Wiping Players’ Skill Points
Some players are reporting a frustrating issue in *Borderlands 4* where their skill points are disappearing. One player, TheRealSoyKRob, posted on Reddit about losing all their invested skill points after reaching level 10 and logging out. This also wiped their Storage Deck Upgrades. Other players in the thread have confirmed that leveling up or resetting their characters doesn’t fix the problem and restore the lost points.
Players are currently suspecting a bug in *Borderlands 4* is related to playing with others online. Many users posting under TheRealSoyKRob have reported losing skill points after leaving and rejoining a multiplayer game. There’s no way to get lost points back right now, but players have found a way to prevent the issue. If you notice missing skill points when starting *Borderlands 4*, immediately pressing Alt+4 instead of quitting the game seems to keep them from disappearing. Gearbox is aware of the problem and has acknowledged it on Borderlands Support, but it’s unclear if the upcoming fix will restore any lost skill points.
Man, it’s seriously frustrating when all your hard-earned skills get wiped in *Borderlands 4*. I’ve put so many hours into building my character, and losing everything would be a huge blow. It’s easily the biggest problem the game has right now, so I’m really hoping the developers drop a patch or update soon to fix it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
