Skate 4 – How to Play with Friends

Full Circle’s *Skate* is currently in early access, and players are already loving the realistic digital skateboarding experience. The game is proving popular, with high viewer numbers and often full servers, so players may be wondering how to connect and play with their friends.

Great news! The game lets you play with friends on any platform thanks to crossplay. Some of the tougher challenges are much easier – and more fun – when you team up. This guide will show you how to connect with friends in Skate 4 and fix any crossplay issues you might encounter.

How to Play Skate 4 with Friends

To skate with friends, you’ll need to add them first. Just enter their EA ID into the search bar and send a friend request. If you’re not sure what your EA ID is, press the ESC key to open the main menu, scroll down to the ‘Social & Spectate’ section, and click the second-to-last tab.

If your friends are on Xbox One or PlayStation, just type in their gamer tags to send them an invite. Once they accept, they’ll automatically show up on my friends list and we can play together whenever we’re both online!

The primary way to play with friends in Skate 4 is through Party Mode. To invite them, first make sure they’re online, then press left on the d-pad, go to their profile under the ‘Friends’ section, and select ‘Invite to Party.’ Once they accept, they’ll instantly appear with you and you can tackle challenges together – like ‘Party Up to Party Down’ for bonus Rip points, or compete in Throwdowns. You can also just hang out and show off tricks! If you want to join *their* game instead, choose ‘Join Party’ from their profile.

Just a heads up, anyone can join your Skate lobby since they’re public. Each session can have up to four players, so if you want to change who’s playing, someone will need to leave.

Which Cross-Platforms Does Skate 4 Support?

Currently, *Skate* lets players compete with those on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. Keep in mind that because the game is newly released, these cross-play options could change in the future.

Fortunately, the game lets you carry your progress across different platforms. This means you can switch devices without losing your data and can pick up right where you stopped playing.

How to Fix Cross-Play Errors in Skate 4

Since its initial release, *Skate* has had a number of technical issues, resulting in varied feedback from players. A frequent complaint is the difficulty players are having inviting friends to join their games. If you’re experiencing this issue, here are some possible causes:

  • Your friends are on platforms not allowed by Skate 4(e.g., older Xbox versions).
  • Cross-Play is not enabled in Settings.

If you’re still having trouble, try disabling and then re-enabling Cross-Play in the General Settings. Remember to restart the game for the changes to take effect. If the problem continues, you can share your feedback through Skate’s survey or stay updated on the game’s social media channels.
