How to Climb SV News Building in Skate

The SV News building is in Gullcrest Village in the game *Skate*, and challenges sometimes appear on its roof. Getting up there to start these challenges can be tricky, but this guide will help. If you’re having trouble figuring out how to climb onto the building, don’t worry – it’s actually quite simple.

Players will eventually be able to unlock fast travel to the top of the SV News building. This saves them from having to climb it each time they want to attempt a Skate challenge that appears there.

How to Get Onto SV News Building in Skate

Corners Are the Key

To begin climbing the SV News building, you’ll need to find one of its four corners. Although you can start from any corner, the south and east corners are the most accessible. Their exact locations are shown on the map before this one.

When you reach these spots, you’ll notice three horizontal lines carved into the corner. To climb up, approach the lines and press the climb button to grab hold. Then, while still holding the climb button, push the left joystick upwards repeatedly to reach the ledge above.

The climb input is the X button on a PlayStation controller and the A button on an Xbox controller.

To move along ledges, players can now hold left or right on the left joystick, which will stop them under any windows. From there, holding up on the left joystick and repeatedly pressing the climb button will let them scale another wall. At the top of that wall, they’ll find the SV News building’s fast travel point and challenges.

Players who make it to the top of the building can climb the tower using the handholds located between the windows. The image shows exactly which handholds to use for the climb. Although there aren’t any tasks to complete at the top, it’s a fast travel location and offers a fantastic view.
