As a dedicated Pokemon gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can only express my utmost admiration for this player who has achieved the impossible by catching all Pokemon, including their shiny forms, except for the elusive Manaphy. The sheer magnitude of this feat is astounding and truly sets a new bar for what dedication to a beloved franchise looks like.

A dedicated Pokemon trainer has managed to capture every single Pokemon species and their shiny versions, found in all the games, with the exception of Manaphy. This impressive feat brings the famous slogan “Gotta catch ’em all” to life.

When a fresh Pokemon game hits the market, many enthusiasts strive to fill their Pokedex. But some devoted fans take it up a notch and succeed in completing the National Dex, an achievement not for the faint of heart due to the challenges involved in capturing the elusive mythical Pokemon. Fortunately, this Herculean task comes with its rewards – a special Magerna-hued Poke Ball as a token of accomplishment for those who complete the National Dex. One exceptional player has even surpassed this milestone, pushing their limits further.

In a recent post on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet subreddit, user wolfmanoh shares an impressive milestone they’ve reached after 23 years of playing Pokemon. They’ve successfully collected every single Pokemon and its variants, plus all shiny forms, with only Manaphy remaining on their list. An accomplishment that’s especially noteworthy given the significant challenge of obtaining shiny Pokemon. This achievement is truly one of the rarest in the history of the franchise.

Enthusiasts of Pokemon are truly astonished by this accomplishment, as it’s not common to find such an impressive assembly. One spectator even quipped that the user truly “got ’em all,” making the Pokemon motto a reality. When inquired about the most challenging aspects of their quest, the user pointed out that catching certain Pokemon, like Blue Stripe Basculin, was relatively simple, but hunting for Arceus took a remarkable 4 months.

Shiny Manaphy Remains To Be A Headache For Collectors

Manaphy is the only Pokemon that can spoil a collector’s Pokemon collection. It’s not the user’s fault though, as finding a shiny Manaphy is an intricate and challenging process. Although Manaphy can be obtained through “Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl,” securing a shiny one is an entirely different story. Players must acquire the egg using “Pokemon Ranger” and transfer it to a new save file, then hatch it. However, there’s no certainty that the hatched Pokemon will be shiny; the odds are reportedly 1 in 8192. Consequently, catching a shiny Manaphy is currently considered the most difficult achievement in the franchise.
