This article contains spoilers for the Boruto series.
Sarada Uchiha is a central character in the *Boruto* series, and it’s widely known. She’s become incredibly strong, especially in the recent Two Blue Vortex arc. While some fans felt Sarada wasn’t used to her full potential early in *Boruto*, the author seems to be addressing that and giving her character more development now.
Sarada is currently a key player in the major storylines of *Boruto*, and most fans expect her importance to grow. However, despite her strength, she’s not yet the most powerful female character in the series and still has a lot of development ahead of her.
Sarada Uchiha Is The Strongest Female Character In Boruto Right Now

- Sarada Recently Awakened The Mangekyo Sharingan
- Sarada Can Use Ohirume
Watching the *Boruto* series, it’s pretty clear to me that Sarada Uchiha is currently the most powerful female character. Honestly, there aren’t a lot of female characters with significant roles right now. While Matsuri was around for a while, she’s no longer part of the main story. Then there’s Eida, but her abilities are a bit of a wildcard – they don’t even work on Sarada, and she doesn’t fully control them herself.
It might have just awakened but I know exactly what it does. — Sarada Uchiha

Currently, Sarada Uchiha is considered the most powerful female ninja in the Boruto series. While in the Land of Wind, she unlocked the Mangekyo Sharingan, a significant power boost. As a main character, Sarada is expected to become incredibly strong, and the Mangekyo Sharingan allows her to use a technique called Ohirume, which lets her create black holes. This power is strong enough to defeat even a formidable opponent like Ryu. However, despite this impressive ability, she isn’t yet the strongest ninja overall.
Boruto began as a continuation of the popular Naruto series, and it’s been challenging to establish its own identity because of Naruto’s huge success. However, Boruto is now truly stepping into the role of a leading character. Whether he’ll become a hero comparable to his father, or even exceed him, remains to be seen. Honestly, even I’m not sure what the future holds! It will depend on how much support we receive from you, our readers, so please continue to support us. -Ikemoto
Sarada Cannot Beat Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Still Stands On Top As The Strongest

Sarada Uchiha is very strong, but she’s still far below the power of the Otsutsuki clan. When it comes to the strongest female character in the series, Kaguya Otsutsuki is on a completely different level and would easily defeat Sarada.
Those eyes… They’re unmistakable. The Mangekyo Sharingan! — Mitsuki
If you’ve forgotten, Kaguya was Isshiki’s teammate and actually hurt him badly. She also ate the chakra fruit and became even more powerful. Kaguya Otsutsuki was incredibly strong – even Hagoromo couldn’t beat her on his own. Sarada simply doesn’t stand a chance against her, and that’s just the truth.
Kaguya’s Power Is On A Whole Different Level

Sarada isn’t as powerful as Kaguya yet, and it’s impossible to say what will happen down the road. She has the potential to become incredibly strong, perhaps even reaching the level of the most powerful members of the Otsutsuki clan, and even surpassing Kaguya. However, she isn’t at that level currently.
The next chapter of *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex*, chapter 27, will be released on October 19, 2025, at 10 AM Eastern Time / 3 PM Coordinated Universal Time. Fans can read it for free on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
